I stayed at the Explorers for 4 nights with my 4 year old daughter, my mum and my sister. This Hotel is all about the children and my little girl had the most amazing time in the pool, which stays open till 11pm if you still have the energy!! the soft play area, the indoor pirate ship, the childrens gym, there is so much for them to do. However there was no evening entertainment and a bottle of wine cost 17e so grown ups beware!! The Hotel was very clean and the breakfast nice enough. Continental with lots of pastries, fruit and yoghurt . You can have an english for 6e if you prefer. We paid for the buffet one evening and would say the food was ok but you can eat better at disney for the same price. However the ice cream machine attacked me covering me in pistachio ice cream causing a huge giggle between myself and a group of school children. The pizzas are a cheaper option and very very yummy. The free shuttle bus is very regular and you soon learn that its every man for himself. However Disney is the most Magical place. I am a 32 year old mother and was very close to tears at the sight of sleeping beauty's castle and my little girls face when she watched the parade (which is a 5pm but get your position early as i found grown ups even pushing the little ones). I highly recommend booking the character breakfast at cafe Mickey as it gives the little children and the big kids among us a chance to get more personal with the characters as they visit your table individually and is an amazing experience and very reasonable. Don't forget your autograph book and camera!! If you have little children you can hire stollers at disney for 7.50e a day which i found a great service. There were a couple of things that niggled me though. A couple of people on reception laughed at my bigger sized sister which upset her greatly and also there wasn't a consistent pricing at the bar!! The rooms are comfortable and so were the beds and there is a disney boutique in the hotel which is handy for those last minute pressies. This is a great hotel for younger children and would highly recommend it, and the pool is a great for older kids later in the evening as they open all the cascades. if you fancy a glass of wine, nip to val de europe and buy it quite cheap in the local supermarket! I was very impressed at the disney hotel at the entrance of the park but after reading the reviews i'm really happy i stayed where we did. Its not stuffy, and has a brilliant atmosphere for kids. One final tip, make sure you wear the comfiest shoes!!!! and bring the kids disney costumes!! and remember, your never to old to believe in magic and prince charming...and Mickey. Have a wonderful time! as its one you'll never forget x
