I visited the Dream Castle hotel with my daughter and her friend (both 15) for 3 nights last week. We stayed in Baron von Munchhausen suite, which was ideal for us - two interconnecting rooms, both with queen-sized beds, a fridge and a television, and one also had a camp bed. This meant the girls could sleep in a separate room but the interconnecting door was left open the rest of the time. The bathroom was accessible separately from each room, but the toilet was accessible only from the main room.
The fridges were very satisfactory because they were not pre-loaded with a range of very expensive snacks and drinks, though these could be obtained from the hotel; a machine down the hallway dispensed (expensive!) snacks and drinks.
People have commented on the queues for breakfast, but we never experienced this during our 3-night stay; there were never more than a couple of people in front of us and mostly we went straight in. The girls liked to have a lie-in, so I went to breakfast around 8.30 then accompanied them around 10, and at no time was it too busy; furthermore, I was able to have a coffee when accompanying them even though I had already had breakfast. The quality of the breakfast was very good indeed, contrary to the impression given by the reviewer from Ireland. Like any buffet, there were adults wandering around carrying hot drinks as this person mentioned, but what do you expect at a buffet?
The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful., the rooms were clean, and my only complaint was that there was a shortage of toiletries provided (no shampoo) - so take your own; likewise, although there are tea and coffee making facilities, supplies are not replaced as you use them and there is a charge of 6 euros to have a new tray which may include things you don't want (10 packets of sugar, for example!) but there seems to be no flexibility on that front - so if, like me, you like frequent cups of coffee or tea, make sure that you take supplies with you.
There is a frequent free shuttle service to the Disney parks, but if you hit the rush hour (about 11 a.m.) you may have a problem getting a bus as it picks up at several hotels before the Dream Castle. We had no trouble at other times of the day.
All in all, much better value for money than the hotels on site (we have stayed twice at Sequoia Lodge); but be prepared to get less favoured treatment - and you cannot just walk between the hotel and the park.
