Enjoyed our trip to Tio Pepe yesterday, the tour was very well organised and very informative. You get to watch a video with the history of the bodega which was very interesting although it does heavily promote the brand. There is also a small train that takes you around the beautiful property and the guide keeps you informed of the area as you go around. While walking around the darkened cellars there is a distinctive aroma of sherry and a real sense of history. I loved the story of the happy mice, we didn't actual see any on this occasion, however I believe you could be lucky to see a mouse go up small ladders and drink the sherry that is left out for them as a tradition. We finished off with the wine tasting and tapas, opted for the 4 different sherries and tapas. Sherry isn’t really my thing, but over all it was a pleasurable experience.
On a negative note, felt like they didn't really want you hanging around once the taster had finished.
Not too busy this time of year.
