We stayed Sunday through Tuesday for a little skiing on Parnassos and a visit to the archaeological site at Delphi, and this was the ideal base. We took a double and a triple, all spacious, clean and comfortably outfitted, with TVs, modern bathrooms, good plush mattresses (not a given in Europe), carpeted floors, kettles for coffee and tea, fridges, safes, desks, balconies with mountain views, and robes for the spa. That spa consisted of a room containing a sauna, a steambath, and a huge shower downstairs, wonderful after a day of skiing. For those needing more relaxation, a massage chair in the lobby gives a good mechanical kneading at two euros for six minutes. The lobby itself is attractive, with a full bar, espresso maker and fireplace, cushy seating, books and board games, and views of the mountains. The rooms are well soundproofed, so far as I can tell. The location is just at the end of the main road in Arachova, outside all the mayhem in the center but very convenient, especially if you're going to Delphi or up the mountain. Parking was no problem. The breakfast buffet was good, with a decent selection: pastries, yogurt and cereal, cold cuts, eggs. Hotel breakfast can be dismal, but this was not. The staff were helpful with all our requests, and when at the end of our stay I had a panic over my missing passport, they were kind enough to phone around Parnassos Ski Resort where we discovered I had failed to collect it the day before when I returned our equipment. My only complaint is that there was an automatic nightlight in our room to illuminate the floor beside the bathroom, itself a thoughtful touch, but so glaring it interfered with sleep. They really should give you some way to turn that off. Anyway, if I were going to Parnassos again, I would certainly return to Hotel Likoria. I nearly forgot to mention that wonderful and mysteriously rare bonus: free wifi!
