We stayed here for one night in room 203 because it was convenient for a wedding we were attending nearby. I wish I'd read the Tripadvisor reviews before I booked. The hotel is ok for somewhere to sleep but the following points made us grateful we were hardly in the room:
-The sink in the bathroom needed a good scrub - it was green around the taps!
-One of the four pillows on the bed had no pillowcase
-As my husband walked through the doorway he got cobwebs in his hair (there were also cobwebs on the stairs up to the first floor)
-Oddly there was only one bedside table - there had clearly been two at some point because you could clearly see the mark on the wallpaper
Finally, in the morning, our tea and toast took so long to arrive, we'd actually finished our cooked breakfast before they came.
You get what you pay for and we weren't expecting anything grand (as previously mentioned, the style is dated with patterned curtains, bedspread and carpet and a border around the top of the wallpaper) but the room was £90 and compared to the nearby Travelodge's rooms at £40, that offers better value.
