It was unfortunate that we only stumbled across this bar on our last day as it would have been a regular haunt otherwise. It is located some 50 m from the beach and may be missed, in spite of advertising on boards etc, as it is not immediately in your eye line as you scan the beach and waterline at Alykes looking for places to eat or drink.
The premises boast a pool/sun loungers/bar and food inside/outside seating. This is not a bar with balalaika music drip fed from a loop 24/7 or indeed with non stop TV flickering in the background. This is a bar that generates its own ambiance with subtle non intrusive background music that actually allows conversation and interaction for any age range including young couples, family groups and more experienced age groups. All of which adds to the atmosphere of a welcoming establishment.
Julie and her staff were polite and attentive without being pushy. The food was excellent and each course came at a pace of our choosing.
The highlight for us was eating our meal upstairs in the open roof garden. From here we enjoyed the sun go down over the bay and watched the last of the sun worshippers and sea lovers catch the final rays, all this whilst enjoying a cold beer or two.
There were no special nights or greek nights taking place whilst we were there although there was good press for these events as well.
This is certainly a relaxed bar/restaurant relaxed in atmosphere but not in quality or service. In fact this establishment has a winning ingredient over the other high street bars - Class.
