Stayed at the Hotel last week, as attending a conference at the Convention centre. Fantastic location for the convention centre, undercover 5 minute walk away. Also excellent if wanting to go to the City via Monorail or Central train station via light rail, both directly outside the hotel.

Rooms were expensive but well appointed, and as per a previous review the blockout shutters were the best I have ever experienced and guaranteed a good night's sleep.

Didn't eat at the hotel - breakfast was pricey, but the bar was reasonable value and nice.

We've just returned from an overnight stay at The Novotel Darling Harbour. We stayed with our 2 young children in a deluxe harbour view room. Rooms have been refurbished and are very light and comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed with fantastic views. You are truly paying for the excellent location and outlook. The room was a semi 'L' shape so a sitting/workspace area was into the corner. There were 2 LCD TV's (one adjacent to the beds and the other in the lounge area) which turned out to be handy as we were able to put the boys to bed undisturbed and enjoy staying up, catching the views and watching some TV, relaxing! Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice, a great start for a busy day. A definite plus was the block out shutter, no noise and total darkness. This little beauty helped us keep our young children asleep till gone 8.30am. A sleep in, What a bonus! Overall we really enjoyed our stay, but it was expensive. However, it is nice to treat and pamper yourself every now and then!

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis. It is well appointed, large rooms, clean and very comfortable and has its own parking area. It is located in Darling Harbour with direct undercover access to a range of restaurants and bars. If you have booked the cheaper Pyrmont view room you might want to ask for an upgrade to a harbour view room (they might just oblige) it is much nicer.
Don't bother with the restaurant in the hotel. You will find much better value with one of the restaurants lining the harbour (although they do not stay open very late during the middle of the week - if that's the case go for the room service).
