At the end of May we required a three bedroom apartment for five adults who were attending a three day conference only a block away from this complex. This Meriton apartment is situated at 327-329 Pitt Street behind the old facade of the YMCA. On arrival everything we asked for was in order. The apartment on the 45 level had a balcony and all the windows were able to be opened. The heated pool, sauna and spa on the 13 floor was spotlessly maintained. Each room had a King bed which was able to be split into two singles if required at booking. The staff on the front office were both pleasant and efficient in their work. Even the after hours security officer was helpful. The five of us could not wish for better!

We stayed recently at Meriton Pitt serviced apartments. We were three adults and two small kids. It was a two bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry. One of our bedroom had a very nice view of the harbour and city. The apartment was clean and spacious. Our kids had lot of space to play and roam around.

Since we reached early around 11am, the room was not ready. They have a room where you can leave your luggage and then roam around. Also they have a luggage cart (same as used by bell desk folks). We used that one to carry all our luggage into the room and then dropped it back.

There are three lifts and busy all the time. So you might need to wait a bit but lifts work - no issue.

Once you come out of hotel from reception, on right there is 7/11 and on digonally opposite corner of apartment is woolsworth - which is cheaper.

Do check out QVB right in front of Woolsworth as a hang-out/shopping place.

i totally understand all the praise here. we had a 2 bed apartment which had everything we could need. it was totally quiet, clean and comfortable. very close to restaurants, shops and supermarkets. helpful front desk staff. if you are staying in sydney with children (as we did) i would say this is perfect.

We have just returned from a trip to Australia and spent a week in these apartments. I had booked a studio and was thrilled on arrival to be told that we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and a real home from home. I honestly could have stayed there forever!
I can't add much that's not been said in all the recent reviews and would not hesitate in recommending the Meriton - you really couldn"t do much better

“Meriton Serviced Apartments Pitt Street was the pitts”

Sydney
25 Mar 2008

My husband and I recently stayed at Meriton Serviced Apartments, Pitt Street. We were initially booked into a room close to the ground and asked to move to a room higher up away from road noise. We were put into a room designed for disabled guests. The air con did not work, the dishwasher broke down twice (when it would beap non-stop) and after many promises of the air con being fixed we eventually got upgraded and put into another apartment. In the meantime the remote access for the garage door stopped working on numerous occasions and the person on the front desk on one occasion proceeded to walk my husband to the garage "to show him how to use the remote". Each time it was a problem with the remote rather than our inability to use it (point and press, how hard can that be?). Coming home at 6pm at night to do battle with a remote causing a traffic jam in downtown Sydney, then waiting 15mins for the world's slowest lifts meant we were pleased to see the back of the place. The final straw was Meriton charging our credit card as they have a policy of charging it when incidentals reach a certain level. This policy was never communicated to us and the same guy at the front desk had a crappy attitude about it claiming we "must of been told". Had to phone to request an invoice for this charge as well. For a short break probably ok. Any longer than a weekend avoid. Sydney must have better options than this.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — Closeness to Sydney CBD
    • Disliked — Everything else - especially speed of lifts, breaking down of things (garage remotes, air con etc).
