Apartment booked in Sept 2007 as soon as bookings available and asked for views of the city. On arrival did not like being made to sign credit slip in case we wrecked room! What a cheek! We were given apartment 2106A, on 21st floor. This overlooked car parks, air conditioning units and skyscraper buildings. We complained to indifferent staff, who all claimed to be managers, and were told we had not asked for a view (!), but they would move us in a couple of days. The balcony doors were locked (for security reasons, we were told), but were unlocked upon request. Glass shower screen fell off when my husband had a shower; ironing board fell apart. After two nights in this inferior apartment, we were moved (or rather we moved ourselves!) to apartment 5502A on the 55th floor. What a difference - superb views, and a superior apartment. On the day we left asked if there would be a room to change and refreshen, as we had to be out of the apartment by 10am, spent much of the day touring in Sydney and had some hours to wait for the shuttle bus. We were told a room was available. This turned out to be a single toilet in the lobby - it didn't even have a towel, and there was barely room for one person and a suitcase !! Not very impressive, and a sad end to our stay. Staff and management at this apartment block need to go on a customer service course. If you must stay here, and want views of the city, insist on an apartment on the 40th floor or above.
