We booked a Premium Ocean View Room. We stayed two nights from 26-07-12.
This room is advertised as: Experience breathtaking ocean views located from levels 25 to 35, designer room amenities such as, modern bathrooms with rain fall showers, luxurious bathrobes and Peter Morrisey bath products.
We were on the 27th floor and I was very pleased with the view to the ocean and the relaxing balcony, we enjoyed sitting there with a nice bottle of red in the afternoon. The room amenities were very modern, the bathroom spacious and modern, the Peter Morrisey bath products were lovely. The rain fall shower wasn't as good as I imagined, I think it was because there wasn't enough water pressure to make it flow as much as I wanted but it wasn't a drama. I really wouldn't call the bathrobes 'luxurious', they were cotton ones and didn't entice me to wear them but like the shower head, it really didn't bother me. The king bed was really comfy, flat screen TV was great. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We hardly saw the housecleaning staff and our room was refreshed when we returned to the room in the afternoon. I really enjoyed this stay and I will be making this the first choice to stay at Surfer's when I want a break and I don't want to spend the time to search the best deal. I tend to visit the Gold Coast regularly on short breaks from Brisbane. I have stayed in various hotels in and around Surfer's and have found this hotel to 'tick' all the boxes. It is a very short walk to the beach, Cavill Ave Shops and many restaurants. The only negative thing for me was the $15 a day parking fee I had to pay. I know not all hotel's offer free parking but there was no mention of this on booking, nor in the hotel information. I was told on checking in and then when we left, they tried to charge me $45 instead $30? Anyway, they ended up charging me $30. I think it's important for hotels to disclose these fees because I need to factor this in when I'm deciding how much my budget will be for staying per night. So with the parking fee included, it cost $205 per night.
We had an excellent ocean view in room 2708

Greetings, and thank you for this glowing review.
I really appreciate that you have taken the time to write about your stay with us, and am delighted that we are now your first choice for the Gold Coast!
Thank you as well for your very kind mention of our staff in general and the housekeeping team in particular. I will be sure to bring your review with me to their next team briefing.
I do apologise if you were unaware of the parking fee at the time of booking. We have ensured it is on each booking site, and that all agents who book our hotel are aware of these charges. It is unfortunate that we do not own the car park and we therefore have to accept the pricing structure of the parking company. I am sorry if there was an error at checkout on the days charged and I am glad it was rectified immediately. I hope this was not too much of an inconvenience for you.
Thank you again for this review and we look forward to your next visit soon.
