The Crowne Plaza is one of those hotels that will completely disappear from your memory a few months after your stay. Absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel itself, but also nothing of any note either.
Our room overlooked a building site at the rear of the hotel [we did not wish to pay the extra for a river view], and in fact was extremely quiet, as building work had not as yet started in earnest. However it is likely that the rear of the hotel will not be a good place to stay for the next few years when construction really starts.
The location of the hotel is not bad - a pleasant 20 minute stroll into the city centre, or via the free bus service. However the main Perth dining area is much further away, and the free bus does not run at night, so a taxi is required. There are a few restaurants near the hotel, but the choice is limited.
A nice touch was the free internet access, and free guest laundry. As for the rest of the hotel - sorry, forgotten already!

Navy visit to Perth. Great get-a-way from being at-sea. Location is perfect. Staff is very accomodating. Rates very resonable for location.

We stayed four nights having paid extra for a Superior River View Room (room 701) which was somewhat smaller than we expected but was quiet and had a nice view. We only ate in the hotel one evening and were suprised to find that the food was excellent with very attentive service. In fact the staff were generally good throughout.

I found this hotel to be reasonalbe , the staff were polite and made me feel welcomed.......good location but recommend a river view if possible, there is on street parking but also meters are in operation, depending when you stay ,could be a pain, but the hotel offer valet parking for $15 AUD per day
