I travel back and forth to Perth (in bursts) for business, so am interested in business quality hotels with appropriate amenities and don't want to deal with too many issues from a hotel.
The new Executive Rooms at the Sheraton Perth are PERFECT! Everything is just as you'd want it, and the overall hotel service is great. For example:
* The rooms are large (I was actually judging how one could fit an entire 1-bedroom apartment into one of their rooms...the bathroom was as big as my master bedroom at home!)
* There is a large desk with wireless internet access (it would be nice if it was free, but no hotels do that it seems)
* Room service was fast, fast, fast and hot with good options (and they accommodated my strange omelette request)
* TV is large, flat and the remote actually works
* Breakfast in the Executive Club is wonderful - more than I could want to eat...
* The Shertaon bed....better than the Westin Heavenly Bed if you ask me!
* Overall service is great and very friendly!
When I had an issue with a fuse being blown in the room, maintenance came up in minutes and it was sorted quick smart.
As for other posts about the common areas being 'tired' and the rooms nothing special, my thoughts are the common areas are just fine - certainly better than the Hyatt or Novotel, which are the other East Perth options. As for the rooms, I've stayed in the non-Executive rooms and they aren't as swish as the Executive ones, but they are certainly better than the Hyatt where I was shocked at the quality, service and cleanliness of the entire affair.
I'd stay at the Sheraton Perth again in a heartbeat, and will do so on my next trip out (whenever that may be).
