We stayed here for 3 nights in mid August. As far as location, I guess it was good - about a 15 minute walk to the CBD malls, quite a lot of good restaurants surroundign the hotel (if you like Indian, go to the restaurant right opposite the hotel - so good!). However at night it felt a bit dodgy, so if you are a single woman I probably wouldnt choose to stay here. In a couple it is fine though.

The hotel itself was okay... the lobby and restaurant area were pleasant enough. The breakfast (I think it was around $10??) was not very good and we found it more worth it to venture off to a cafe somewhere for breakfast. We had room service one night and the food was pretty average - definitely would not eat the dinner food at the hotel again, personally.

Our room was strange - it was nice enough, but there are no actual windows, just a brick wall about 40cm away from the actual wall of the room, with a glass panel between the two. We were thinking it might be becasue the area is a bit unsavoury and people perhaps used to throw bricks through windows or something??

The cleaning seemed a bit dodgy - we had hairs (eww!!) ALL over our bed covers and on the sheet, and sometimes on the towels, which really grossed me out. The bathroom was always clean though and nothing seemed to be dusty.

For the price though (we paid around AU$80 per night) it wasnt too bad though. Apart from the bed issues, it was clean enough, there was a TV with satellite channels (BBC etc), the bathroom was okay, and the location was pretty central. I probably wouldnt stay there again myself just because I would rather somewhere in the city centre where it's easier to get to the really nice parts of Perth (the pier etc) but if you're on a budget and want to stay in Northbridge, i would recommend it.

“Cheap and cheerful”

Basic hotel sited just off the main drag into Perth.
Food ok, typical pub grub served at the bar or in the small dining area just off the bar. Friendly staff, Jem you're the best!
Nothing in the way of facilities, no pool, no gym, but close to good Asian / Oriental restaurants, and cab prices cheap for jaunts into town where there a loads of good pubs, music and restaurants.
Hotel was clean, and had air conditioned rooms which were of a good size, but no way could it be described as luxurious. Good size bathroom with sink and bath with shower over. And toilet...
Seemed to be used at weekends by hicks from the sticks who were coming into town to party, and by some really bad looking groups of females on hen nights. Weekends were not fun for the business traveller as a result of the noise created at all hours of the night as these 24 hour party people returned to base.
On more than one occasion, ladies of the night were seen to arrive and then leave soon after. Not the thing I'd want my better half or kid have to witness.
In summary: cheap, cheerful, friendly staff. Defo a "get what you pay for" hotel, but as long as you are aware of the downsides, not at all bad and I'd stay again if ever sent back to the colonies.

    • Disliked — Seedier aspects, didn't change the menu once the whole five weeks I was there.

All Seasons is a nice looking hotel but if you get stuck in the bottom level don't expect a window.

If you arrive after 11pm, also dont expect to be able to add to your mini bar, which comes empty on checkin and can only be filled from the bar.

If you want hot breakfast in your room think again. And food is only available from 6pm-9:30pm so make sure you dont get hungry during the day.

Overall the lack of food service (or even a bottle of water!) and the dismal down stairs rooms (I choose a deluxe king room with spa) makes this hotel a miserable stay. This would be the worst 4 star hotel as far as service and room setup I have stayed in. It is not fair to rate this along side the Novatel or Mercure Perth, also at 4 stars.

    • Liked — Its a modern building
    • Disliked — No room service for breakfast (cooked) and limited dinner service (6-9:30) no window! empty mini bar

“Not All Seasons, maybe two seasons”

All Seasons Perth

16 Sep 2007

We arrived by train to Perth and after taking a bus tour which sort of was a real estate tour (Aussies are mad about real estate and the values). All Seasons allowed us an early check in which was great.
However the room was an inner room so there was no window, only a small skylight. Also the hotel on the northern edge of Northbridge so it was a walk to the center of the Northbridge district and even further from the CBD. The room was small but very clean, the restaurant was ok-all food in Australia is expensive and hotel food is outrageous. This hotel was no different. Service is one season, staff is another, room another and location another season. This hotel gets two seasons-room with no window (a cave) and location (off beaten path).

The All Seasons used to be the Acacia Hotel. It's in Northbridge, a 10 minute walk to Perth's CBD. It was recommended by business contacts in Perth who use it for their visitors. We booked it via Wotif.com.au and it was fantastic value. We paid $95AUD for the first 3 nights and 110 for the final night. The rooms were well-sized and wonderfully clean. The staff were all very helpful - such as the Receptionist/Manager who came to our room within minutes to fix up our TV tuning. The rate included breakfast - which was just about OK. But frankly, for the price we were paying, juice, toast and coffee would have been acceptable. Northbridge is full of Asian shops restaurants - we had a lovely meal at a nearby place - the Red Teapot.
