Hamilton has many motels, but very few high quality business hotels. The Novotel Tainui Hotel (Accor Hotel Group) is the most upmarket hotel in the city. Facilities are modern, and many rooms overlook the scenic Waikato River. The hotel is located right in the heart the city centre, next door to the Sky Riverside Casino, and about a block walk from numerous cafes and night spots. The largest inner city shopping mall (CentrePlace) is about a two minute walk away. Two excellent restaurants - Arianas (Italian) and Tables on the River (New Zealand Fusion) are located directly across the road from the hotel entrance on Alma Street.
