Please don't make me choose between the heated floors, the view of snow-capped mountains from my bed, open fireplace (at flick of a button) or the surround sound entertainment system with over 8,000 songs to choose from.
These are just a few memories that spring to mind, all of which contributed to the most memorable and romantic getaway I have had in a very long time. It was my virgin voyage to Queenstown and I assure you, if I can manage to stay at the Spire again, I will be back in a heartbeat.
How exactly the staff managed to time the turndown service (which I might add, instead of chocolates one night, included a range of New Zealand made body lotions/potions) and any other servicing of the room, in the short spell that we did manage to drag ourselves from the hotel room, was most surprising and impressive !?
Speaking of little touches which made impact, the EVOLU range of cosmetics, in place of the usual nasty hotel shower gels/moisturiser etc. was of really high quality, so much so, that I ended up sourcing the larger sizes at the airport as I left.
This 10 suite hotel costs top dollar, but irrelevant really in my book. Collection from the airport by the lovely General Manager Mel Bohse, is yet another perfect touch and all part of the service.
I could go on, and reminisce some more, but in brief, THE SPIRE (and Queenstown) took my breath away and had me smiling for the entire stay. I highly recommend this chic and sexy hotel, and have stayed in my fair share of hotels around the globe.
Enjoy!!!
