My 12-year-old son and I wrapped up our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula here. It's a luxurious, chic, and spotless hotel in a remote location. Although it has a romantic, adult feel, children seem genuinely welcome. Very relaxing place. The bay is beautiful and calm, lovely for snorkeling, kayaking, and beach combing. I loved the quirky palapas. There's also a very nice pool. The hotel's restaurant -- Sahara Cafe -- is fabulous, but there's also a wonderful, rustic seafood shack, with tables on the beach in the shade of the palm trees, on the other side of the bay -- an easy walk along the beach for lunch. We had reserved a modest room, but received a free upgrade to a gorgeous, huge suite with easy beach access. Everyone was friendly and warm. Best shower we had on this trip.
