We went ocean rafting on an extremely windy day over 40knots they said. The guides on the dock were very insistent that it would be a very wild ride and almost scared me off by saying that if you weren't up for it they didn't want you on the boat! Lucky I went ahead, it wasnt scary at all it was fun! I don't know who they think would be scared, maybe a grandma! The waves were 2m high and all the passengers were squealing with every bump, very funny. The tour guides we had, Tim and Sarah were very nice and Tim had a good sense of humor playing out antics in the high winds as if he was being blown away etc. The lamingtons on the trip back are a nice touch, good to give overseas visitors a taste of those. Whitehaven beach is beautiful(maya bay in Thailand is better), the lookout is great but hard to get a good pic of yourselves with the crowd and the wind we had that day.
The gripes I had were---1.that we didn't go to 2 snorkeling spots as advertised on the website and I'm not even certain we followed the route advertised on the site either (Maureen's cove, manta ray bay)2. the coats they gave us to wear on the boat to prevent us from being soaked were a bit dirty and musty and I had a red rash on my arms and back the next day(not attractive while on holiday) that was obviously from the coat and 3. that we were charged for a can of drink when we paid $7 for a buffet lunch.
Anyway this is a good value tour compared to another we did and we had a great day.
