Right on the beach, the hotel is attractive and elegant. Our rooms were spotless, fresh, comfortable and quiet. We booked the garden studio suites which allowed us to breakfast outdoors each morning. The service was professional and friendly and the location was perfect for visiting the beach with our young baby.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, can't get any closer to the beach! Easy walk to restaurants, bars, etc. Room was fairly standard hotel room, we did however also have a private court yard area which was great, and which we made use of.

The roof top area had a fantastic\ view, and seemed to be very under utilized at the time we were there.

If you are not looking to sleep in at all, then staying in the studio rooms is the place for you. The location is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and the beach is just outside the front door. However, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything that your neighbours are doing. If you don't plan any late nights and sleep ins then it is very good place to stay. Having said that, I was in a studio room so the others may be more suitable.

Dear Ilovetravel0404,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our Hotel.

I must say i find your comment regarding the walls quite puzzling, the walls that divide each of the rooms are double brick. In saying this, over the Christmas/New Year period there tends to be a little more noise and celebration than usual. My sincere apologies if noise from other guests disturbed your sleep or your stay here with us.

I certainly have to agree with your comment about the location, it is fantastic!

My apologies again if your stay was anything less than satisfactory, we hope to welcome you back to The Coogee Sands Hotel and Apartments in the future.

Warm Regards,

Tracy Whitelaw

Location is great and most staff are friendly. Hotel in need of a renovation or touch up with cracked and missing tiles on the stairs to the rooms and the rooms a little dated. Roof top bbq area also needs a bit of updating. Just beware of parking as it is limited at the hotel and often you will have to park across the road in a pay parking car park.

Dear nik22192,

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to post a review of our hotel, i appreciate your kind thoughts regarding our location and friendly team of staff!

You are most certainly correct about the renovations, i am pleased to inform you that the hotel is now in its final stages of refurbishment. More than half the hotel has already been completed and we hope to have the remaining work completed by July of this year.

During your next stay with us please request a newly refurbished room, i would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the new furniture and decor!

Warm Regards,

We had a great room, compact, but well thought out - reasonably well appointed and felt quite homely. Coogee Sands seems to be a cross between a hotel/apartments/motel.
Lovely patio with the room - Deluxe Ocean View Studio Terrace. We could have done with an umbrella to protect us from the wonderful Coogee sun. Awesome view both day and night. Quiet.
Parking available complimentary - which was a real bonus on this trip as we had paid everywhere else.
We had a lovely spot to enjoy our daughter's company who lives in Coogee, Close to the beach, shops and Restaurants.
Our room was equipped with very adequate utensils, plates, glasses, cups, microwave, a sink and thankfully (for a refreshing change) dishwashing liquid and tea towel.
Efficient quiet Air Conditioning.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Very reasonable rates for wireless internet.
Great package if you are thinking about longer stays.
Have re-booked for another holiday here in a years time.
