My partner and I have stayed here twice with our two young boys. The kids absolutely love the hotel as it's right on the water. It's simple, affordable, comfortable, and a has a magnificent view from the bedroom. The only stuff up was they charged my partners credit card twice by accident and it took almost two weeks to be reinstated back into his account. Other than that, we love the place and would recommend it to any other family wanting a little holiday by the beach.

Dear Cara R,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our hotel, i am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

In regards to the double charging of your partners credit card, i have discovered that upon arrival the staff took a pre-authorisation of your accommodation which freezes the selected amount in your bank account. Upon check out, although we used that same pre-authorisation to charge your accommodation, your bank did not release these funds, meaning your pre-authorisation was still pending and another separate charge had gone through.

My apologies for any confusion that this may have caused you and your partner.

Thank you again for your thoughts and feedback, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Coogee Sands Hotel and Apartments.

Kind Regards,

Tracy Whitelaw

You see, smell and hear the sea. There's a good restaurant next door with fresh fish and the staff are very friendly. it's not smart or boutique in any way, but it is a perfect place to stay if you like unfussy service and an excellent location.

Room tip: beach side is best obviously

These apartments were perfect for us on our 2 day layover to NZ. We chose Coogee because we have friends in the area and wanted to be close to them. Coogee is a great area, everything very accessible, shops, beach, cafe's etc. It's got everything you need and is only a half hour bus ride into Circular Quay. We upgraded to the sea view and it's definitely worth it for the view, however can be a bit noisy at night with people going into the restaurant next door, but that wouldn't put me off staying there. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. We had wifi included in our package too, which was perfect. There were 3 of us in the room and there was a sofa bed for the third bed, which was comfortable. Overall, I'd recommend this as a great place to stay.

Room tip: Ask for Ocean View.

I found the Coogee Sands Hotel & Apartments more than satisfactory and primarily due to the service and location. The rooms are a little worn but that was easy to over-look with a clean. The room I had boasted great views across the bay with a little balcony. The kitchenette meant we could enjoy preparing small snacks and of course tea and coffee.

There is a free parking bay and many local amenities close by such as supermarkets, buses and cafes.

The servcie was excellent and I would stay here again.

Room tip: I chose the room with a view but they do involve walking up a half dozen steps.

After nearly 7 months of not being able to visit it was lovely to be welcomed back so warmly by Tracey and her wonderful staff.
Thank you, just what we needed.
Beautiful room, lovely view over the park and beach, and such easy car parking at the hotel.
Our room had the best shower pressure, well appointed with lighting, and love the new décor.
The new lift is a huge bonus too!
Couldn't make use of the outdoor roof top area upstairs as it was raining, but went up to show a friend, such a lovely view over Coogee.
Anyone thinking of accommodation for Coogee New Years Eve fireworks couldn't get a better view.( We stayed last New Years--BRILLIANT)
We were very impressed with the renovated Pavilion next door to Coogee sands, bit pricey, but was great food, - a bit noisy, but that adds to the ambience of the place. Nightclub not opened yet, so no issue there with noise.
Try Barzura for great food, especially the prawns, Coogee Legions, and most of the cafes have great all day food.
Livedin Coogee is a great place to shop, so all bases are covered..
great accommodation with helpful, friendly staff, great food, easy accessibility to town, Bondi Junction etc.

Cant wait to return.

Room tip: Ask for a quiet room
