I stayed at this hotel on friday 11th March 2005 in a deluxe suite. In fact I would describe it as more a motel than hotel. We were greeted very warmly by the owner who was very helpful and recommended some local restaurants. When we asked about Chris' (a well known restaurant out of town) he very kindly rang them to see if they had a table and reserved it for us! The layout is motel style, a central car park with the rooms around it. The rooms were very good; large, very clean, well equipped but perhaps a little dated. Despite this there was real attention to detail, especailly in the bathroom, which is not always present in hotels. I have to say the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on (no pun intended!). The comfort Inn is not cheap (I payed about $160 AUD) but does seem to be one of the better places to stay in Apollo Bay, which is not that large - but very beautiful. I would definately recommend this place - just don't expect a city style hotel and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.
PS don't buy breakfast at the hotel, there are great cafes on the main road. Also if you stay in a deluxe suite and want a bath - it's enormous and takes about 1 hour to fill!
