Very clean and friendly atmosphere ! They really go out of their way to make your stay most comfortable . The cuisine is top notch and just an over all super place to vacation! The night-life is just out-of -this-world! The rooms are of nice size and as I've mentioned very clean which is extremely important to our family. Shower has very hot water any time of the day or night. You will have the time of your life with the Bucher Family atmosphere . JUST LOVELY!!!!!!!!!

Room tip: All rooms are nice but for romance a balcony is nice.

The village of Lech in Voralberg is the perfect place for a family holiday. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the Alpes. The hotel residence Bergheim is located in a excellent position, it is clean and with large rooms/apartments. The service is professional and quite kind. The owners (Bucher family) are quite nice and correct people. Our family spends one week in summertime since years and we are always happy to come back.
Finally, value for money is really good.

Based on a friend's recommendation, we stayed a week at Hotel Bergheim during half-term this year. We had the Glokenblume room for 4 (2 adults + 2 children), with a double bed for us and a sleeper sofa for the children, which was a proper double and therefore wide enough. I liked that the bathroom water was reliably hot, no matter what time of the day you needed a shower or bath (essential after a day on the slopes). Our half-board package included buffet breakfast and 4-course meal, which we found very adequate and delicious. When our children decided they didn't like one of the appetisers on offer, they substituted it with something else without any fuss. The daily post-skiing chat and pre-dinner weissbier at the bar became a daily ritual. Our boys also enjoyed the games room, which had a pool table, table football, and table tennis. What really made it for us though, was the superb and warm service offered by Martin and his team. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, which created such lovely, warm and fuzzy feelings. Of course, we could moan about the location being a little too far from the lifts but we told the children the walk was good warm-up and cool-down, and most importantly, character-building. We would also take @Decobraga's suggestion and hire and store our skis at Sportalp next time.

We were a group of eight South Africans who stayed at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The sitting area and balcony were great for pre-dinner drinks. We really looked forward to dinner every night since the four course meal always surprised and delighted us. The pork medallions, fish with herb risotto and saffron sauce and pancakes with apricot are worth mentioning. I especially enjoyed the salad buffet. Breakfast included good coffee, eggs, cheese, cold meat and bread rolls as well as fruit and yogurt.
It takes 7 - 10 minutes to walk to the ski lift from the hotel but in my opinion this is a good warm up and cool down. We rented our equipment from the shop next door to the ski lift so this was no problem. On our last night we celebrated our wedding anniversary and the owner allowed us to have dinner at Omesberg hotel, which is also owned by the family, at no extra charge. The dessert we ordered was a work of art. My only recommendation would be to put a top sheet on the bed instead of just a blanket. Martin was super helpful and our friends loved their first Lech ski holiday.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a balcony on one of the top floors

I stayed at Bergheim Hotel for 1 week in February 2012. I really enjoyed that stay. The staff is very helpful, the food is quite good and plentiful (4 course menu+salad buffet), the rooms (well, the room I stayed in, can't say if it's standard) are comfortable and warm, with a big bathroom featuring a huge bathtub, great when you return from a hard day skiing and want to soak in for a few minutes.
Wifi is free. Cable TV, with mainly german-spoken chanels, with a few other choices (BBC World, TVE, RAI1, TV5).

On the downside, it's a bit far away from the center of Lech and the major lifts. About a 10 mn walk, that can be, unfortunately, a bit hazardous in ski boots, as the hotel sits on a hill and the path is very icy. However this can be solved in 2 ways: first, leave your gear at one of the renting shops (I left my own skis at Sportalp, right next to ski school, for 2€ a day) and the daily walk will be much less painful. Second, if the snow is good (which, in Lech, means "Almost all the time"), take the ski route, at the end of the day, from Madloch/Zug, if you went skiing over to Zurs. Even if you are an average skier, it won't be too hard (unfortunaly, I only found out about this tip on my last day).
Bergheim Hotel is a good choice if you intend to stay in one of the most beaufiful ski resorts you can imagine. Lech is a great ski resort, with state-of-the-art lifts, superb snow, beautiful blue and red runs (although some of them on the flat-side) and some fine (and medium-priced) mountain restaurants.
If it weren't for the fact that I do not like to repeat the same place twice on a holiday, I would certainly return to Bergheim. But, who knows, someday?...
