Where is Vincents Michelin Star?! Our 4th visit, superb as always. The pretty garden setting is so romantic & peaceful. This year we ate inside with another couple due to a storm leaving chilly weather. The dining room is just as nice. I've noticed the staff stay the same. They all seem happy & proud to work here. And so they should. The menu provides an array of mouthwatering dishes, but wait for the specials - they are always special! We had the pasta 5 ways, lobster/scallop gratin & goose terrine with blackcurrant sauce. Delicious. For main selection of 5 mixed steamed fish, veal & pan fried calves liver. Absolutely delightful. Sides include rosti cooked to perfection and a nice alternative to chips. The special in between palate cleansers are gorgeous. We had no room but could not resist (!) a creme brûlée, meringue with fresh fruit & shared cheese board. More and more delicious. It's excellent. Service attentive and friendly and extremely knowledgeable on the food front and also the wine. But I must comment about the children comment below. I have children. I have never taken them to Vincent. It's not fair on them or the other diners or us! It's not a restaurant for young children, although I have seen children there & the staff were very kind. It's a special place. It creates a bit of magic & a bit of romance. And for that alone he deserves that star.
