We chose this hotel due to previous recommendations on this site and we were not dissappointed! My partner and I spent 5 nights here and loved every minute of it. The hotel is extremely stylish, very modern, with a lovely terrace for meals, fantastic views of the mountains, gorgeous pool and gardens. It is in a quiet location approx 2 miles from the centre of Ronda.

Would definitely recommend a room with a private patio or terrace.

The only drawback in the room is no minibar or tea and coffee making facilities, but they do have room service and we found the service quick.

The food in the hotel is fairly expensive but worth it, we had a gorgeous meal here on our last night, approx 35 Euro each. Had lunch there one day, the Goats cheese salad is to die for!

At certain times we felt we were staying in our own private villa and spent 2 afternoons lounging by the pool just the 2 of us, it was heaven!

Staff were very pleasant, the hotel has a very relaxed feel and with only approx 11 rooms, felt very intimate.

This hotel is perfect for couples / groups of friends.

We stayed in 3 hotels during our holiday and this was the best by far.

Word of advice though, it was very easy getting taxis into Ronda at night but getting taxis back was more difficult. One night it took us an hour to hail a taxi, another night my boyfriend and I couldnt get a taxi, it was 1am and we ended up walking out to the hotel, not pleasant at that time of night in the dark, especially after a few drinks!

We found out afterwards if you ask the hotel they can arrange a taxi to collect you.

We drove into town a couple of afternoons, there is a convenient parking lot on Calle Lauria, only 1E per hour. It is approx a 5 minute walk onto Carrera Espinel, the main pedestrianised street.

If you want to treat yourselves to a very special meal, we would strongly recommend Tragabuches, a michelin star restaurant in the centre of town.

It was a great experience, restaurant style was modern, food was gorgeous, it was expensive, it cost us 130 Euro for 2, but its far cheaper then any Michelin star restaurants in England.

Ronda is a beautiful town in a stunning location, with good restaurants / tapas bars. The nightlife is a bit quiet but it is a great place to visit for a relaxing, chilled holiday. You wont be dissappointed.

We have just returned from staying in this boutique style hotel after booking it after a friend's recommendation. We had a great time here, the location is great if you are after some tranquility and don't mind being a little out of town. The room was a generous size, the bed was huge, and we had a room with a private terrace that was very pleasant.

Due to the location of the hotel (being a bit far out) had intended to eat there for dinner, but the menu was pretty expensive (36 euros per person) although the terrace would have made a very nice location for dinner.

Instead we hopped into a taxi into town (8 euros one way) and ended up eating there for a lot less.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and for some peace and quiet. At one point, we had the whole pool to ourselves for a good few hours. The views are great, and the stay was very relaxing. I would recommend requesting a non smoking room however as we didnt, and the room we were given smelt strongly of smoke. We were moved to another room though which was fine.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday and was very pleased because the calmness of the hotel was wonderful... Beautiful gardens and the pool was excellent. The staff here do couple as everything so service is a bit slow but hey so is the place for total relaxation..everything is on a personal level and there are wonderful lounges for coffee or drinks or reading all in white with attention to detail..We had a suite overlooking the pool with a huge verandah and relaxer chairs and table. the rooms are stunning as is the bathroom with lots of nice complementary bits! It is not the type of place for children. Mainly couples. It has about 12 rooms all minimalist and lovely. We had lunch outside and the warm Goat's cheese salad comes highly recommended.
It is a bit out of the way. You would have to drive in to Ronda about 10/15 minutes but to stay outside was a good idea if you require tranquility. I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys contemporary living. Not for people who like the typical rustic spanish feel. I would definitely stay there again and would stay for more than one night just to completely relax after travelling around.

Stayed at El Juncal October 30, 2004. While the hotel is beautiful, it is rather inconveniently situated. The staff was very nice, and we enjoyed probably the largest and best meal in Spain there. Driving into Ronda was inconvenient, and we really didn't get to enjoy it much. During the colder weather, the patios are useless, and ours looked out onto the parking lot, so wasn't worth the money anyway. The rooms and hotel are very modern, sort of scandinavian in style, and the front desk checks in, does room service, and serves the meals in the dining room, which is very small. But the food there was extremely well prepared and presented. Only 1 offering however, the nightly special for 42 euros. Wine was extra.
