My wife and 2 children ( 10 and 13 ) stayed here for 2 nights. We chose this hotel based on reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed!!.
This is a beautiful hotel which is quiet and away from the action of the town. The views are splendid and the gardens and pool are a haven.
The rooms are spacious and airy and decor is modern and trendy.
The staff are helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was the only meal we ate at this hotel and it was delicious.
We did however, eat dinner at the Restaurant Tragabuches, in Ronda, which is owned by the hotel. This is one of the most renowned restaurants in Andalusia and was spectacular. Also, it did not break the bank!

Ronda is one of the prettiest and most delightful stops in Southern Spain and El Juncal is a great hotel to complete the treat. The hotel is about a five minute drive from the town centre.

We picked El Juncal based on the favourable reviews posted on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is exactly as it appears on the website - modern with lots of glass, white walls and beautiful wooden floors with some interesting "arty" touches, fresh flowers and splashes of colour. The rooms (we had to swap part way through to get in for the 3 nights, so we sampled 2) were both good with comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms, the only thing we thought was missing were coffee making facilities and complimentary water. The gardens and pool area echo the simple lines and clever use of colour.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them, the service was excellent - some reviewers said that service was a little slow, we didn't find it to be so.

We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first night, it was a fixed four course menu for 36 euros each, the food was fantastic, imaginatively prepared and presented and of really good quality. We had the wine produced at El Juncal bodega - not cheap at 28.5 euros a bottle but well worth it as it was excellent. We would certainly recommend the hotel, the restaurant ..... and the wine.

We chose this hotel due to previous recommendations on this site and we were not dissappointed! My partner and I spent 5 nights here and loved every minute of it. The hotel is extremely stylish, very modern, with a lovely terrace for meals, fantastic views of the mountains, gorgeous pool and gardens. It is in a quiet location approx 2 miles from the centre of Ronda.

Would definitely recommend a room with a private patio or terrace.

The only drawback in the room is no minibar or tea and coffee making facilities, but they do have room service and we found the service quick.

The food in the hotel is fairly expensive but worth it, we had a gorgeous meal here on our last night, approx 35 Euro each. Had lunch there one day, the Goats cheese salad is to die for!

At certain times we felt we were staying in our own private villa and spent 2 afternoons lounging by the pool just the 2 of us, it was heaven!

Staff were very pleasant, the hotel has a very relaxed feel and with only approx 11 rooms, felt very intimate.

This hotel is perfect for couples / groups of friends.

We stayed in 3 hotels during our holiday and this was the best by far.

Word of advice though, it was very easy getting taxis into Ronda at night but getting taxis back was more difficult. One night it took us an hour to hail a taxi, another night my boyfriend and I couldnt get a taxi, it was 1am and we ended up walking out to the hotel, not pleasant at that time of night in the dark, especially after a few drinks!

We found out afterwards if you ask the hotel they can arrange a taxi to collect you.

We drove into town a couple of afternoons, there is a convenient parking lot on Calle Lauria, only 1E per hour. It is approx a 5 minute walk onto Carrera Espinel, the main pedestrianised street.

If you want to treat yourselves to a very special meal, we would strongly recommend Tragabuches, a michelin star restaurant in the centre of town.

It was a great experience, restaurant style was modern, food was gorgeous, it was expensive, it cost us 130 Euro for 2, but its far cheaper then any Michelin star restaurants in England.

Ronda is a beautiful town in a stunning location, with good restaurants / tapas bars. The nightlife is a bit quiet but it is a great place to visit for a relaxing, chilled holiday. You wont be dissappointed.

We have just returned from staying in this boutique style hotel after booking it after a friend's recommendation. We had a great time here, the location is great if you are after some tranquility and don't mind being a little out of town. The room was a generous size, the bed was huge, and we had a room with a private terrace that was very pleasant.

Due to the location of the hotel (being a bit far out) had intended to eat there for dinner, but the menu was pretty expensive (36 euros per person) although the terrace would have made a very nice location for dinner.

Instead we hopped into a taxi into town (8 euros one way) and ended up eating there for a lot less.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and for some peace and quiet. At one point, we had the whole pool to ourselves for a good few hours. The views are great, and the stay was very relaxing. I would recommend requesting a non smoking room however as we didnt, and the room we were given smelt strongly of smoke. We were moved to another room though which was fine.
