We were on a 3 day trip for my wife's birthday and we had previously eaten hearty Bohemian food on a budget so we decided to try somewhere a bit more upmarket. We didn't book but were found a table on a Thursday evening, even though the restaurant seemed quite full.
The interior decor was a little glitzy for my taste but the service was excellent. We chose from their 3 course deluxe menu (excellent duckling main course and my wife had a veal rib-eye steak, also excellent) and also chose the wine tasting option. We both (my wife is a teacher of cookery) chose different dishes throughout and had an excellent meal. The wine, which was chosen differently for each course, complimented each dish perfectly including an excellent dessert wine with my gingerbread dessert.
It wasn't cheap but we expected it not to be and having eaten out at other fine dining establishments around the world, it was fairly good value. In summary, we couldn't fault V Zatasi.
