My parents are unable to walk a long way so my husband and I organised a private tour with 2 travel scoots and we walked. They were able to see the great sights of prague in which would have been out of the question without the help of the scoot.Lea was absolutely delightful and personableand,we had such a wonderful in site to the history of Prague. we stopped for a drink and cake in an upstairs cafe with a lift. Somewhere a tourist may not find,it was beautiful inside.
This is a must do tour if you can't go far by foot but want to see it all.
I wanted to go to Terezin with my family during our vacation in Prague. I am handicapped and use an electric scooter (see www.pridemobility.com to see what my scooter looks like). Lea Skanderova assured me that it would be possible to arrange a private guide for me to take me to Terezin. She was right! Our guide, Nina, and her husband, David, was the driver. They arrived at our hotel promptly and the trip to Terezin was approximately 1 hour. My scooter disassembles into 5 pieces and fit, with no issues, into the back of their comfortable and clean van. While at Terezin, David entered the Small Fortress through the exit in order to make entrance more accessible which was very helpful. Nina was very accommodating to my situation and very knowledgable on the Terezin history. After spending approximately 3 hours there, we went to a very lovely town called Limoterice which was close by. The town was very uplifting after the depressing history and sights of Terezin. Nina knew a very nice restaurant there where we stopped for a late lunch before heading back to Prague. The tour was excellent and I am very glad I was able to visit Terezin with my scooter. Thanks Lea and Nina and David!
Lea was my guide during a recent visit to Prague. She was gracious enough to arrange several side/day trips for me in addition to our tour of the city. Lea knows Prague inside and out, and we visited some 'off the beaten track' locales that were incredible. Lea is great to work and is very personable. As a guide and contact in Prague, I can highly recommend her. I was fortunate to find Lea through a review on tripadvisor and thought I would return the favor for anyone else who may be visiting Prague.
Lea made this tour just perfect for us. The scooters that we rented were in new condition and easy to operate. The scooters made the tour quite comfortable for us. We could not have navigated the cobblestones without this assistance. They also gave us the ability to tour a large area that we could not have done otherwise. Lea also arranged for wheelchair transport that was on time, reliable and very helpful.
Although Lea was out of town for our tour, our guide was knowledgeable, personable and answered our many questions.
Prices for all her arrangements were reasonably priced.
You will definitely have a very positive experience using Lea's services.
My family visited Prague this month as part of a three week European vacation. My mother uses a wheelchair and we have found that it is a good policy to hire a guide in cities where accessibility is known to be an issue. While Prague is a beautiful and historic city, the cobblestones make navigation difficult and many sights are not accessible at all for wheelchair users. Lea was very helpful during the planning process and we went on two guided tours arranged by Accessible Prague. Vida spent three hours with us in the Jewish Quarter which has very difficult access issues. We went to all of the sights that we could see as a group and Vida later accompanies a number of us to inaccessible areas as well. We spent over five hours with Lea touring the Prague Castle which had better access than the Jewish Quarter. Lea was very helpful with the access issues as well as providing context for the various historical sites. I would recommend Accessible Prague for mobility impaired tourists visiting Prague.
I’m so fortunate to have found Accessible Prague when I started planning a trip to Prague with my elderly mother. When I contacted Lea Skanderova, she replied promptly and after a few email exchanges, we had an itinerary planned. Lea arranged for my mom to have a scooter for our two half-day walking tours and the transport for the scooter to Prague Castle. She also arranged for a wheelchair on our trip to Kutna Hora and a driver for us to Karlovy Vary.
Everything went so smoothly and Lea was wonderful company. I especially appreciated her keen ability to give us historical information in an interesting and engaging manner. Along with the historical information, we learned about Czech culture and she shared stories, anecdotes, and personal observations during our time together. She also guided us at a pace that was comfortable, while making sure we saw all the highlights and learned interesting details.
It was so helpful that she knew the paths of least resistance (or would run ahead to check) so that my mom on the scooter would have no problems moving around. Prague is best seen on ground level so I don’t think we could have had a trip like this and have seen as much without Lea’s service. My mother is able to walk but there’s no way she would have been able to walk for extended lengths, so having a scooter and Lea’s guidance made the excursions convenient and enjoyable for both of us and we were able to see all the wonderful sites of Prague and beyond.
I highly recommend Accessible Prague and Lea Skanderova.
