We arrived in Brno via train from Bratislava with the goal to experience Moravia. I think we accomplished this!

I booked the standard double room. I will admit I was not happy when I first saw the room as it was small and basic ....but it was new and very clean. I could have dealt with the room if there had been a safe. So I asked the Front Desk staff for a new room ...one with a safe, which they do have. The price for the upgrade was minimal, but the room itself, although I think it was the same size as the standard double, did have lots of other upgrades.

The breakfast is good - standard hot and cold breakfast is served on the lower floor. I think they also may have had room service available. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's located on a very quiet street and is about a 10 minute walk into the Old Town square. Although it's not a far walk to the square, after walking all day, the extra 10 minutes back to the square for dinner seemed like an extra 30. NOTE - Brno shuts down Friday at 5pm until Monday. We were there on the weekend so nothing was open except for the tourist attractions. We did find a drug store open by chance.

Spilberk castle is nice to visit - great views, paintings and lots of history from WW2. The organ if you get to hear it in St. Peter & Paul Cathedral is amazing (we happened to be there during a wedding), and the Capuchin Monastery & cript containing the 300 year old dead bodies is gross but intriguing all at the same time. We also stopped in and had beer at Pega Brewery.

Our favourite restaurant on our travels is in Brno; Brabander Restaurant. An amazing cheese tray!!

This hotel lived up to its trip advisor review. It was brand new and well appointed in a fun, modern way. Clean, comfortable, bright rooms with everything you would hope to find in them. The bathroom was particularly good. The one thing that needs doing is the TV needs putting on the wall (the hotel is only just finished!). It was on the bedside table at the end of the bed which meant there was no bedside table on one side, and there was no space to walk at the end of the bed!

There is a restaurant on the opposite side of the street called "Tulip" where we had a lovely meal sitting outside under parasols. Very reasonable and great staff. We recomend it.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at

We stayed here for just one night but would loved to have stayed longer. This hotel is brand new having only been open a couple of months. It has been rebuilt inside an old building facade. It is bright, it is modern, it is clean, it is beautifully furnished with bright and very modern artworks throughout. It is located on a reasonably quiet street although our room on the the 3rd floor overlooked a noisy pub on the opposite side of the street. It is within 7 mins (tops) walking distance of the centre of Brno. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and speak good English. The breakfast room downstairs has one of the best breakfast selections I've seen in a hotel. The rooms have wired Internet connections and the Internet is free. The only (very minor) negative is the lack of an in-room safe but items can be stored in the safe at reception.

We would have no hesitation in staying there again and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay that provides excellent value for money.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Good location, close to the downtown, quiet street. Hotel has a secured parking also can park your car on the street. Old fashioned building turned into modern hotel with digital age appliances. Hotel is brand new looking. I had a pleasant stay here.
