This place used to be a camp during the war and today it´s a big green field area with some memorial markings that tells you that it used to be a labourcamp there once. Being there and overlooking the size of the area really makes you think. We took one of the small touristcars from the old town one afternoon, because I´ve read about this place. Our driver was an older polish man who spoke little but understandable english and he told us a lot about this place and some stories of his family during the war. Hearing this makes it even more sad. It´s really worth a visit. On the way back he drove us to Amon Göth´s house and to the Grey House. Can actually tell you one thing! Amon couldn´t and didn´t shoot any people from his house, but he did it from his place just in the camp. He also took us to the place that once was the jewish getto Podgorsze.
