We stayed for a 2 night stay at the Pollera and have absolutely no complaints, the rooms were great, breakfast was more than adequate, the staff were helpful and very pleasant. We had arranged through the hotel to be collected by taxi to and from the airport this was an excellant service and good value for money. Pollera is a lovely old building within less than 5 minutes walk from the main square. I would recommend this hotel and intend to use it again.

Excellent Hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here. Rooms are spotless, friendly staff and terrific location. Usual continental buffet breakfast, but more than enough to set you up for the day.
Have recommended this hotel to several friends, who like us really liked it.

Hotel Pollera is in the best location in Krakow 2 mins from old town square, tourist information and Urbis Travel (where they speak English and you can book all trips and train tickets etc). We had 5 fantastic nights there. Auschwitz, Jewish Ghetto, Nova Hutta, Chopin concert. Excellent breakfast - everything you could want, Apart from one evening we dined in the hotel as the food was such a good standard and very cheap. £1 for a starter and £4 for a main meal. Room was huge with table and chairs to sit at as well as coat stand, palm plants and matching bed linen with built in headboard. Bathroom very new and clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel not only for the hotel itself but the location is so central with everything at your fingertips. If I go back to Krakow I will definitely book this hotel.

My parents booked this place and when I read the other reviews I tried to talk them out of staying here. A previous writer called the place "musty". Now, I don't know if they have airconditioning, so in the summer I can not say, but for the fall when I stayed there the place was AWESOME. The location is tremendous, the views of the opera house are super, the windows actually open and the walls are so thick you can sit on the windowsill like a chair and just watch the city go buy. I think you'll want to advocate for your experience; the first room I was assigned was only so-so, but I just asked to see what else they had and found this gem. BTW, the wireless internet access is FREE. I stayed at the Bristol in Warsaw the week before and that 5 star hotel nickle and dimed me out of 20 EUR a day...what cretins. Finally, Pollera over charged me by accident; I did not notice. They CALLED me three days later and told me and gave me a credit on my card!

“Convenient, with some character”

Stayed 3 nights with wife and another couple. The hotel is very convenient: about halfway between the station and the main square. We arrived by train at 7.30pm and were sitting in the square by 8pm, having checked in!

Having seen other reviews of new hotels on the "wrong" side of the Vistula, I can't believe this place doesn't get 8 out of 5 for location. It's right in the heart of the old town.

Its unfussy with a few very good rooms and some lovely stain glass windows on the staircase.

Only had breakfast (ordinary) in the hotel, so can't comment on food, but rooms are tidy, clean and great showers. Surerior rooms have more space and views over the Opera.
Was a bit warm so left window open at night and yes, the old streets can echo to tyres on cobbles or revellers making theri way home. Still, I much preferred the town to Prague - so compact and lively and only saw 1 stag party, but also 5 weddings (one a Polish bride for Edinburgh!).
Great city and lovely hotel.
