Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Senacki. The hotel is 5 minutes from Wawel Castle and about 5 from the Rynek Glowny main market square. The location was perfect. The hotel is very nice inside, the room we had (103) was spacious with a great view of the church of St Peter and St Paul. The receptionist that checked us in and out wasn't too nice and there was a slight mix up on check out. I had been quoted the price of our stay in euros by the site that i booked with, i also emailed the hotel directly to check that this was correct and they confirmed it was, but when i went to pay for the hotel with euros that i thought they wanted, they would not take them, so dont take euros. Breakfast was ok, the usual bread cheese eggs and ham. Was served in the cellar bar on one morning which is very nice. Would recommend the restaurant Miod Malina which is just across the road from the hotel, nice atmosphere and good food at decent prices. Was very busy when we were in there though, they were having to turn a lot of people away so would advise you book the day before maybe. Christmas markets are small but lovely. We also visited Wieliczka Salt mines which were amazing, would definatley recommend this, but only if you dont mind 832 steps down and are not claustrophobic! We went to Auschwitz on a tour and would advise you do this on your own if you want to go there as the tour guide whisks you round very quickly without giving you time to take it all in. Overall we loved Krakow and thought it was a good choice of hotel.
