This is my first trip to Budapest. I have selected this hotel because it is ranked #2 Budapest hotel on Tripadvisor and at a very reasonable price. When I see the hotel in reality I can only say "WOW!!!" (as in other travellers comments). The hotel is SPARKLING CLEAN and MODERN inside. It is difficult to find any dust anywhere.
We were assigned two rooms (one on ground floor, one on 1st floor). Both rooms are very clean and with super high celings. The air inside our rooms is very fresh. The bathroom beats many other 5-star hotels - sparkling clean, superb showers, smooth water drain. One can easily think that this hotel is a brand-new hotel. The hotel staff has done a fantastic job on daily cleaning and maintenance.
The breakfast is AMAZING in every way. Wide variety of good quality cereals, excellent cheese and ham selections, nicely prepared stir fry peppers, fresh salads, and most impressively an electric fruit stirrer to make fresh Grapefruit juice (where there is a continuous unlimited supply of big tasty Grapefruits)!
The hotel location is in the center of everything. Taking a relax 15-20 min walk will get to Chain bridge where we can take the cable car up to Buda Castle and Fisherman's Bastion. From there the best view of Budapest comes into the camera.
We want to especially thank the hotel reception staff who have been extremely helpful and patient to help make our trip arrangement as well as dinner recommendations. It is also very touching that on our very early departure day (5:30am), the hotel staff has prepared breakfast bags for us so we can enjoy on our train rides to our next destination.
In our trip we have visited a total of 5 countries (so have stayed in 5 different hotels). I have selected either very highly ranked Tripadvisor hotels, or 5 star hotels. Hotel Palazzo Zichy has come out to be the #1 best hotel in my trip!
