I choose this motel based on previous positive reviews, its great price ($44/night AAA price) and its close proximity to Disneyland Resort Main Entrance. The distance is about half a mile and is easily within walking distance for anyone but the elderly. They are remodeling the entrance to the lobby when I was there but they didn't start until 8 am. The location is safe and clean and is nearby to many restaurants, mini-marts and supermarkets. The beds were firm but not too stiff and had a pillow top mattress. The floors appeared to be relatively clean and free from stains. The sheets and covers were clean and free from any holes or stains. No bugs to report in the room. Bathroom was clean but the shower head is low, though. The hot and cold water faucet in the shower is a unusual design and not one normally encountered. It is a radial design with hot and cold reversed so one turns the dial clockwise for hot and counter for cold, but you don't know how far to turn it as you can turn the dial 360 degrees in either direction. Coffee maker and hairdryer in room. Standard cable TV. Breakfast is standard: OJ or apple juice from machine, raisin bran or corn flakes for cereal, white toast, hot water and tea bags. However, the breakfast room is not designed to accommodate more then a few people at a time as it is very small and there isn't any room for tables or chairs, so one has to take their food outside to eat. Overall, this is a great place to stay for a Disneyland trip no matter the size of your party or if you have kids.The place was clean and safe, the staff friendly, the rooms comfortable, no loud neighbors partying and the price was probably one of the cheapest you'll find no matter the distance from the park.

The room was inexpensive and it was clean. Nice room
for a quick get away to disneyland. only problem with our stay
was that we could hear footsteps upstairs late at night the beds
were soft actually too soft. but other than that it was o.k. . (don't
put your kids to sleep before 9:25 you could hear the fireworks
from Disneyland they are really loud!)

For the price, we weren't expecting a lot. We got less.

We were sent over 100 miles out of the way with wrong directions. The pool wasn't heated as advertised. The shower sprayed more water out sideways and out of the shower than down due to a broken head (that is not an exaggeration). The water changed temperatures randomly and what was luke warm was scalding hot a moment later and the faucet wouldn't let you change the temperature. It's a good thing the kids weren't put in there first. We called and they "fixed it" so it only ran cold .. not hot, not even luke warm.

The first room they offered to switch us to, which was "the only other room available" was as far away as you could get and that shower didn't work properly either. Then they asked us to pack up all of our luggage and leave it at the front desk for them to hold until we got back that night and they would hold another room when it was available for us. I asked them to just hold the room and let us leave our stuff in the current room so we didn't have to pack everything away perfectly to make it all fit in the luggage.. magically the room right next to us was already ready to go and everything worked. Amazing!!

When we checked out, we asked for some type of compensation. The manager offered one night (the cheapest one) off. While reviewing the receipt to verify charges he snapped and said "well if you aren't going to sign it, I'll just take it back." and grabbed it out of my sister's hand AND said that if Super 8 refunded us anything at all he would rebill us the night he was refunding without permission.

The visa slip was never signed and he would not give us a receipt for the charges.

A complaint was filed with Super 8 and there was no response from the hotel within the allotted time. I called Super 8 again to let them know I did not get a response from the hotel and they have only said that they handle their hotel issues internally and wouldn't say what they would do and didn't offer to do anything themselves.

It was however close to Disneyland and the freeway. It was fairly clean. There was a lot of construction at the front of the hotel as well which made it a little more difficult to get to the office.

In the Anaheim area all the 1 star rated motels are pretty much the same so that is what I was expecting. I was pleasantly surprised with the super clean room. I also had arrived before check-in time but the friendly, courteous, front desk guy alerted the housekeeping staff and they had a room for me within minutes. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the TV channel selection was fine. There was plenty of hot water. The housekeeping staff also folded the washcloths and arranged the soaps and shampoo in a cute little flower shape. (you would have to see it to know what I mean - but it was a nice touch.) I did not see any bugs in the room which is a big deal to me! The Motel is super close to Disneyland. I always drive over and park at Disneyland for the day - it was easy access from the Super 8. I did not try the breakfast. The pool looked nice and I saw several people using it and the hot tub and they seemed to be having fun but I did not use them. The only drawback here is the construction right next door made it difficult to get into the parking lot as there was machinery and materials in the street and it was partially blocked off. That is not the Super 8's fault though. And when this construction is finished there will be even more eating places available in short walking distance. I liked this motel more than most I have stayed at in the Disneyland area. I would definitely stay here again!
