My friends and I went to Bella Bistro last night for Restaurant Week (also know as 5280 here in Colorado). My friend had been raving about Bella Bistro for years, so I finally decided to make it happen. The atmosphere is cute, in an old gas station/garage that has been converted into a quaint little restaurant with 8 or 9 tables, a bar, and a bar overlooking the kitchen so you can watch the chefs cook.
We all tried the honey soaked calamari, it was delicious and tender. I had a cesar salad, which had homemade croutons and a wonderful light dressing. For my entree I had the seafood spaghetti. While I was disappointed that it only had shrimp (no mussels or clams as the menu stated), it was still delicious and full of flavor with spinach and tomates and the aroma of garlic. For dessert my friends and I shared the molten chocolate cake with vanilla gelato, a berry crisp with vanilla gelato, and the bananas foster. Paried with some Primotivo and Muscato, this was a delicious meal.
I will defintely return. They change their menu twice a week, use local and seasonal produce, and are as authentic to Italy as you can be in Arvada, Colorado. What a treat this palce was.
