Inline with previous reviews. The only good thing about this hotel is the pool and front desk...and that is it! First, this is not a family hotel. There is a blue collar bar in the lobby that opens up to the pool that cranked loud until closing time. This is an old 1980's (or even 70s) hotel that has exterior corridors and a nasty breezeway connecting the bldg to the lobby. There appears to be a newer interior bldg where the rooms could be better. We had the $59 Hotwire rate and still paid too much for our outdated exterior room. The room was big and had a decent configuration, but the room was cruddy. The bath fixtures were falling off the wall, hot/cold water was invariable, old sink, and there was mold and dirt on the floor and grout. The carpet was starting to look worn, but the bed was clean and smelled good, although uncomfortable. The rooms have painted concrete walls, had border wallpaper to make it look like something. At this exit, you can have better at one of the newer hotels that have interior corridors and free breakfast. This is not a Disney destination hotel and would not let my kids wander to the ice machine or pool alone. It is sold as a 3 star hotel, but is more like a 2 star. Holiday Inn is an inconsistent brand, anyway - you never know what you will get with them, but my last few stays have been all negative. The retail on this hotel is low 100s per night. Not worth it.

My family of four arrived on a Friday evening for a seven night stay. We went into the lobby to be immediately assaulted with pounding music from the nightclub across the lobby - which appeared filled with underdressed and overweight middle-aged drunks. The drunks appear to have spilled over into the parking lot - where I had to walk our 5 and 8 year old daughters past groups of glowering men who seemed to be eyeing up our car with unusual interest. Unfortunately the stay did not improve from there.

The room itself was large enough, but shabby. The carpets were dirty and there was grime around the fridge, microwave and sink. The toilet made a constant water noise. The shower had a habit of alternating between scalding heat and freezing cold - resulting in loud yelps and jumps from whichever family member was using the shower. The room heater was very loud and blew out air that smelled like stale urine.

The second day we arrived back late, with a daughter urgently needing to use the restroom. The keycard would not work. We stood outside the room for 10 minutes before they got a maintenance man to fix it - something about faulty batteries in the electronic lock.

The phone would not dial out. Reception said they did not have our credit card on file - even though we gave it when checking in. I had to go back to reception to give them the credit card again. The next day the phone stopped working again. No apology - though they did fix it this time without making me to re-check in.

Housekeeping was a complete joke. Only two days out of seven did we get four clean towels replaced. One day they left no clean towels whatsoever. The tub was left with hairs in it and the sink counter was not even wiped. The housekeeper that was assigned to our room did not speak English - I am certain that all she did was make the bed and leave.

The pool is freezing - so cold that I did not once see anyone in it. The "gym" is barely adequate. I didn't dare try the food.

The only positive things I can say about this stay is that there was free in-room wireless internet (though on an unsecure network) and we did not get any bedbug bites. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay!

Never in my life have I actually been scared to stay at a hotel, that was until we stayed at this hotel. Although the staff was pleasant, the actual hotel was an absolute nightmare!!!! Upon entering the parking lot at approx.11:00p.m, my husband & I were alarmed by the presences of a large party of men "hanging out " drinking. We dismissed this as overflow from the Bachelor party that was beening held inside at the restaurant/bar, not exactly something that we wanted our 7 year old to see. As we walked to our room, we noticed several rooms had doorknobs missing or had damage to the doors. Our room was in the back adjacent to the pool area. There was no convenient parking for these rooms (the parking lot was beening resurfaced) so we were forced to walk around the building. Because of the large amount of people mulling around, I was concerned about leaving any bags in the car, so we had to carry all of the bags to the room also. The room was tidy but far from clean. We found several dead bugs in the bathtub & on the bathroom floor, & the sheets were stained. This was not exactly the end to our Disney Vacation that we wanted!!!

How does one write a review if you stay at a property which isn't discomforting but nothing overly impressive?

It is a Holiday Inn off the Interstate in a suburb. The front desk is very nice/kind. They have a restaurant, pool, attempt at a fitness center, and rooms face either pool area or street side.

The good points:
. Spacious room (TV w/3 HBO, double bed, iron, fridge, ice bucket, and lounge chair)
. Free Wifi
. Easy to get to off Exit 92 on I-4
. Kind front desk staff
. Good location - near restaurants, Walgreens (next door), gas, etc.
. Not too noisy considering it host a nightclub, comedy and multiple wedding events on the weekends.
. Nightclub is available for those venture to party hard downstairs.
. Price

The bad points:
. Food/restaurant is mediocre at best {EAT ELSEWHERE}
. Not ideal if you wish to do things in downtown Orlando or Disney
. Nightclub is available but INTERESTING crowd - fun but INTERESTING
. It was challenging to get fresh towels in my room after repeated calls down to the front desk.
. Front door is difficult to close which requires you to slam it so that is the most noise I heard during my stay.

My reason for being in the area was to attend a wedding so it met my requirements and expectations. If you are passing through or don't require luxurious accommodations this hotel will fit the bill.

I am from NH and came to Florida for a wedding. I enjoyed this hotel very much. It wasn't that up to date, but very clean. Our view was a brick wall...but I wasn't in Florida to stare out of my window. The pool, breakfast buffet, and staff were all amazing. The high light of the hotel would have to be the Why Not? lounge. Great energy! It was packed full both nights I was there. It was also a great spot for the wedding party to come back to.
