We had heard great things about this restaurant and were really looking forward to meeting the owner, Ray. There was only one other couple in the restaurant when we got their, and the mosquitos were horrible! I understand the restaurant cannot control that, just thought I would mention it. There was one waitress, a young woman, and another girl sitting at the bar. They chatted, texted, and joked around the entire length of our meal. The waitress took our order, brought it to us, and never offered us any other drinks or anything. I called her over a few times to order another beer and she ignored me. The sign for Little Kitchen says 'great reggae music.... etc" and the waitress has the TV on to a reality show instead of any music at all. It sort of killed the vibe of such a neat place. The owner was not around (he does sailing trips), and so I think that is why there was such terrible ambience and service. My husband ordered shrimp, and he said it was alright. I ordered red snapper, it was almost completely raw in the centre, and so I barely ate any of it. We were in and out of the restaurant in about 20 minutes. I had to go up to pay, as the waitress did not come to check on us or bring us a bill, and when I tried to pay, she had no change whatsoever, therefore I would have been giving her a $30US tip. My husband had to go to one of the grocery stores and get change while I waited there.
We were not impressed. I truly hope that when Ray is around the service quality is a lot better.
