I was a little nervous about staying here after reading the reviews but was pleasently surprised. The pool was clean and the rooms were exactly like the pictures on their web site. (They were very charming) Paco one of their employees was excellent! I would recommend staying here and would stay here again. I had no issues as some previous guests seemed to have.

Could not get a receipt for our charges. Non responsive when requested online by me and my credit card co. Charged for time not there even though gave 2 days notice when we had to leave early. Management never informed us we would be charged for the week at check-out. Beware of cancellation policy. Advertised only pool in town; it was empty!
Rooms ok, management's lack of professionalism not to my liking at all!

My family traveled to Corozal Town in February (7 nights) with no reservations in place as we were not sure where to stay. We went to the Corozal Bay Resort to look it over before committing. Definitely a great place to stay. We were lucky and got cabanas 9 and 10 as they have joining doors (every other room in the resort was occupied). With the doors open, it felt like a small apartment. At night we closed the doors for privacy. The teens enjoyed the pool. My wife and I hung out on the sandy waterfront area and read and relaxed. When it got too hot it was time for a dip in the clean cool pool and a cold Belikin. The food was excellent and we gorged on lobster. We tried lobster head/leg meat for the first time. (owners recommendation) It is the lobster meat that comes out of the head and legs. Just as good as the tail but you get more lobster for the money. The made from scratch lobster pizza was the best. On the weekend it was really busy at the restaurant and bar area. It seemed like all the locals came out to have a good time. We read about the restrooms in a previous post but are happy to report that brand new clean modern restrooms have been built.
We recommend you stay with Corozal Bay Resort when you get to the Corozal area.

The Corozal Bay Inn staff and owners are the rudest I have ever encountered - I couldn't stay there as a guest and be treated so poorly. I left just a few hours after checking in and stayed elsewhere (yes - they charged me for the room). The pool was filthy- you could not see the bottom of it, the beach front was covered with empties (garbage), and before you eat there check out the kitchen first - very scary. But the worst part was how rude the management and hotel staff are to their guest. The last comment that the bar supervisor said to me as I was waiting for a taxi - "it always breaks my heart when this happens" - I had to ask - "this has happened before" - Be careful if you decide to stay at this place.

We just returned and actually were sleeping in cabana #7 three nights ago. We had a great time there. Only two other cabanas were occupied, so it was very quiet and low key. It has a clean pool right next to the sea. Our family spent hours in there every day. Our room was spacious and clean. The food was outstanding and very fairly priced. We had four meals and drinks for $25 US. Their fajitas are incredible. With tax, a family of four can stay there for $80 US. We liked it so much, we stayed four nights. It is about a 20 min walk from downtown Corozal where we frequented the market and grocery stores. We would definitely return.

For those without children, there is a bar that had quite a lot of business in the evenings.
