We had an early Flight from Guatemala City, stayed here the night before the flight. There was a loud party that lasted until 2 a.m., making it impossible to get any rest prior to our flight. Also we told the registration clerk we needed a shuttle to the airport in the morning and the time. She failed to mention that the shuttle was not available at the time of the morning. We had to scare up a cab.

I am typing this review from the hotel itself. I just arrived today, few hours ago. A customer who has a corporate account suggested this hotel and booked it for me.

Lobby and restaurant are charming but un-impressive looking.

Check-In was reasonably fast. Front desk personnel were polite. I needed a small toothpaste and they sent it to my room promptly.

Room is very spacious, nicely decorated, quiet, clean. Bathroom is also spacious and clean.

The A/C unit works well, it has digital remote control to adjust the temperature, and it is quite (no rattling noises).

There's a good size desk to work. There's a piece of paper on the desk which says that WiFI is charged $3 per 1 hour, $6 per 3 hours, $15 per 24 hours, to be paid via credit card upon login, or by calling the front desk. However, I connected my ethernet cable to the wall, and I did not have to call the front desk, or provide my credit card, or anything like that... Turned it on, clicked Internet Explorer icon, and voilá... Google.com page was there fast.

I will probably use the restaurant just for breakfast tomorrow morning, but not for lunch or dinner.

So far, the experience has been positive.

This had to of been one of my worst experiences...the night after we arrived they held a wedding until 4.30am...the music was so loud the room was shaking to the beat and I was one of many unhappy customers. But what really upset all of us was the lack of care and concern for any of the guests. The night duty manager just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. Admittedly the folowing day the General Manager was extremely concerned but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The service here is mediocre and sometinmes quite sullen for a people who are probably some of the most friendly in the world ....that is a problem.

The Princess is very convenient to Guatemala City airport. We flew in from Roatan (via La Ceiba, San Pedro Sula and San Salvador) arriving tired and hungry. The hotel shuttle took a while, as we waited for another person who didn't show up. On arrival, we found a first rate hotel with an excellent restaurant. It is an older hotel, very European in style, but with all modern conveniences. We stayed one night before leaving the next day to tour Guatemala and returned for a night at the end of our trip before facing the long journey back to Roatan.
