If you have flexible booking schedule, ask for Quintin or Ian. We had both on our tour and they were both great tour guides, both knowledgeable and friendly and willing to share and gab. They made the tour really excellent. The tour motors north to the Na Pali coast, reaches the north end, and sails back south toward their snorkel spot which is a beautiful reef where the fish are plentiful as long as the food lasts. After that they're sparse at best. (There are better places to snorkel on Kauai). After snorkeling you're fed a mini buffet style meat and cheese sandwich and pasta salad lunch as you move slowly back towards home. After lunch the captain picks up speed and you get a more adventurous (read: wet and bumpy) ride back.

We saw gorgeous coastline, spinner dolphins, sea turtles, a few types of fish, naval training grounds (from a distance), and the remains of sugar mills.

Advice: If you're prone to seasickness, take something before you board! Don't think you'll wing it. Several people lost it during the trip which only made the bathrooms really hard to use for the rest of us. Also, take extra beach towels and keep some dry. The ride back gets really wet, unless you're inside. So you'll need towels for after snorkeling and for when you arrive. You might also want to take water just to rinse off the sea salt after you get back. THey lend you snorkel gear, but take an underwater camera and maybe fish food.

We took the 6 hour Raft adventure and are so happy we did. Captain Matt and Ewan were great. I hope you get them for your trip. We had so much fun. The scenery was the most beautiful thing my eyes have ever seen. We went into many caves. The snorkeling was the biggest disappointment, not much there the day we were there but quickly forgotten by all the other great things of this rafting trip. We saw Monk seals and turtles so that made up for the lack of fish we saw. We plan to book another trip on the raft as soon as we get back! Again Captian Matt and Ewan thank you so much for making our trip so much fun you guys are GREAT!

You can't go wrong with Captain Andy's! They have the best crew and they know how to have a good time! Smooth sailing by the captain and they weren't afraid to stay out just a bit longer for an amazing sunset! The other guys can't even compare! :-)

We had a great time on Captain Andy's Whale Watching trip. We saw a number of whales. It was a little rough but my Bonine got me through with flying colors. They served a drink called the Sneaky Tiki. It was delicious but did sneak up on you. They also served appetizers on the way back. It was a fun experience and the staff was great.

We decided to do the extreme rafting trip and it definitely earns its title. The trip was on a small raft boat that can literally send you airborne if you don't hang on, but it's definitely fun and exciting. :) Our captain A'Alani (I think that was it) was great and it was entertaining, professional and personable. He even kept us out for an extra 1 hour to enjoy the tour. :)

The trip itself was great with the hot lunch, great sights and fun rafts. Make sure you wear comfortable shorts that don't have lots of seams and good coverage on the rear. I got horrendous rash from all the bumping around since it does get rough. Also, make sure that you reapply sunscreen half-way through the trip since it's a 6 hour tour.
