“A pleasant afternoon in the Atlas Mountains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience walking in the Atlas Mountains with the Atlas and Sahara Tours company. The transport to and from the location went smoothly. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we took a scenic route across some scree slopes and through some Berber villages. The views were beautiful, the level of walking was just right (not too difficult, but still some good hills) and we were welcomed back to the centre with a very tasty tagine. A ll in all a very pleasant afternoon.

“Wonderful vacation with Atlas and Sahara Tours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

Our family of 5 recently vacationed in Morocco and here is our advice: go with Atlas and Sahara Tours. We were treated both as treasured guests and as family for the entire experience. We planned it ahead of time with Mohamed by email who always responded the same day or the next morning. He understood that we wanted a vigorous trip with nice accommodations and planned it perfectly. The airlines lost two of our bags. No problem. We made a detour to the Moroccan equivalent of Walmart and replaced what we needed. On the way to our hotel in the mountains, we passed a bazaar in progress. With great cheer, we made the unexpected stop and enjoyed the food, crafts, color and personalities and then returned to the comfortable van and moved forward. The Inn at Dar Imlil was not full and our accommodations were upgraded at no cost. The rooms were palatial and the views of the valley and mountains gorgeous. The stars at night were themselves worth the price of the trip. We hiked for two days on wonderful trails through terrific scenery and mountain villages with curious children who loved their instant pictures on the iPhone camera. The guide, lunch and lunch spots were excellent. But the unanticipated problems brought out the best in Mohamed. On one day, my wife developed blisters and Mohamed arranged for a respite donkey ride to allow her to continue. We were running late and Mohamed was in touch with the guide by cell phone, arranged for a shorter route down and picked us up by van to get us back to the hotel for a hot shower and delicious dinner. Mohamed was a good friend who made sure that the trip worked for us and we will always be very grateful.

“Toudaoui Brahim & Mohamed Atlas mountain tours were great!”

I wanted to do some trekking in the Atlas mountains to see some different scenery and the local villages and not feel like I was just walking a tourist route. This tour company delivered. The guide and cook were very friendly, funny and knew a lot about the region as they came from local villages. They were very professional and spoke English and French (as well as several other languages) at a good level.

When comparing tours I found that this one was cheaper than others and I was unsure why. I still am. The tour was taylored to the time we wanted and the number of people in our trip, and was organised very well. We were collected by taxi in Marrakech and driven to our starting point.

Also the food was amazing.

I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone thinking of taking a trek in the Atlas mountains.

“Great day excursion to atlas mountains: Adil 4x4 camel”

On 1st full day we had booked a trip with ail after finding through tripadvisor.

Adil spoke very good English, was very pleasant, curteous and was accomodating especially with numerous trips to bank to try and get some money

First stop was to Berber market which was eye-opening and fascinating especially the meat area. Next stop was Berber house. Adil took us round and we had mint tea which was refreshing and strong. Argan oil cooperative was next but prices very high.

Got to top of valley and met guide. 100 dhms. Afterwards not sure if needed guide but just as well as some slightly tricky steps. Not long walk to waterfalls where you can have a dip in the ice cold water.

Had lunch in town via adil recommendation and then drove back via different valley which was non touristy. Sorry cannot remember names of valleys. Stopped at small village where surrounded by kids. Gave them pens and exercise books taken for the purpose.

Great day and recommended. Overall cost 1000 dhms for 2 persons. Comfortable 4x4. Lunch and guide extra.

“Atlas Mountains Walking Tour around Toubkal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

My partner and I recently visited the Atlas Mountains through Exotic Morocco Travel, this was easily the highlight of our tour to Marrekech and something we would highly recommed to other visiters. Our guide Mustafa was first class and highly knowledgable. a full day including lunch musing around the Berber villages at the foot of Mt Toubkal really was something special. We have heard that Skiing holidays are availble throughout the winter months, this is something we will consider for our next holiday. On the way back to Marrkech we even managed to pop into Richard Bransons private retreat....Happy Days.
