This Riad was so beautiful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout. It was clean and affordable and worth every penny! The only negative would be the location. You have to walk down creepy side streets which are quite intimidating! Although the staff were amazing the service was quite slow but the beauty of the Riad made up for this. Would recommend this place for a couple, not ideal for children or families.

This hidden paradise is tucked away in the small streets and we happened to arrive late at night so at first we were terrified! It feels like all the locals were staring at us BUT once we arrived to the Riad it was like we stepped into another area. The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel like royalty throughout. If you can get past the location you will have a great experience. Majid was amazing at making us feel welcome, he arranged a taxi to and from places which made things much easier! The photos do not do this place justice-- the only downfall would be the time it took to get food, it seems like they have very little staff so waiting around was quite an annoyance but everything else was perfect.

Me & my friend Elaine stayed for 4 nights at the Riad Charai.on arrival we were greeted by a beautiful aroma of rose & orange oil,& on the way to reception we couldn't stop ourselves from smiling at how elegant and authentic the reception area was. It lived up to our expectations & looked exactly as the photos do on the website. We were greeted by Majid and was offered some mint tea. A great way to begin our stay.
There are long flowing voiles hanging in reception area & with the birds flying around felt quite mystical. We opted for the Jasmine suite which has 2 bedrooms & large bathroom. Main room had massive bed that was so comfy I slept like a baby every night.
Majid was the star of the show- nothing was too much to ask for & he has a very calming air about him. He spoke to the chef to request my vegetarian food was not cooked in water from meat ( which does happen if you don't stipulate) he arranged a couple of tours- one to the souks & another to Yves st Laurant gardens. Great value for money- 3 hours for 25 euros. Only one slight gripe-the hotel's alcohol license had ran out so we couldn't get any wine onsite- however you can take your own there & Majid et al are happy to put in their fridge for you. Wholesome food- tagines etc & filling breakfast of breads cakes fresh orange, pancakes, yoghurt etc
Can't wait to return later this year- a real gem

Room tip: Choose Jasmine suite

This was a lovely place to stay in Marrakech. It is difficult to find when you first get there (in retrospect worth paying for the hotel-provided shuttle from the airport) and be prepared to get lost when coming back at night. However, this is because it's in the midst of the bustling medina where all the streets melt into one big bustle. The hotel is uncannily calm in the middle of this, the staff friendly, the food tasty and there's a lovely roof terrace for if you fancy spending some of the day there.

Me and my friend Sandra spent a week in riad charai and had a holiday to remember forever. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and work non stop to provide exceptional service. We became friends with majid and mustafa instantly due to their professionalism, friendly vibe and willingness to always go out of their way to be accommodating. The hotel looks exactly as the photos suggest and me and Sandra instantly felt at home and at ease. Me made so many friends on our holiday and always loved talking to majid and mustafa about what Morocco has to offer. We can confidently say majid deserves a bonus as he worked above and beyond his hours at riad charai and we are going to miss him greatly! Myself and Sandra are already saving our money to come straight back to Morocco and of course to stay at the riad ! Beautiful country and beautiful people. Thank you again xxx
