We visited Marrakech as a group of 4 couples and took over the 4 available rooms. The Riad is within the Medina walls so be prepared for a bustling short walk to it from the taxi - but far better to be here than outside the walls in a hotel - and the walk just helped to create the atmosphere for our 3 night stay.

You cannot fault the quality of the Riad at all, each room was very nicely laid out, clean, and modern. We were catered for extremely well by Abdel, Mohammed and Francesco. Abdel communicated well with myself by email before we arrived, organising taxis (Smilie recommended) and a guide for a tour of the Medina (Omar, also recommended) along with a trip to the Atlas mountains (Smilie again!).

We ate at the hotel each breakfast (they don't let you go hungry) and had one evening meal there as well which we couldn't fault. Other restaurants were recommended for us which we duly took up.

The Riad is about 15 minutes walk from Djiamaa El Fnaa square and a shorter distance to the beginning of the Souks. We all felt completely safe during our stay and it was certainly helped by the quality of this Riad and the staff that run it.

Stepping through the door into Riad Sable Chaud is like entering another world. You leave behind the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and enter a beautiful and tranquil place. The staff are so welcoming and are always there for anything you need. The rooms are furnished tastefully and the air-con is very efficient! The temparature was much higher than we expected (35C in early May) so it was very much appreciated. Riad Sable Chaud lived up to our expectations, and much, much more! The location is basic Marrakech, not a tourist area, but it is only a short walk to the Souks and La Place. Our 5 days there are unforgettable and we will certainly return! Breakfast on the roof-top terrace is the most wonderful experience and sets you up for the day.

It''s probably not a good place for children, but is ideal for adults who want to relax in a fabulous atmosphere.

Our trip to Marrakech was a last-minute decision. We literally booked our tickets 10 hours before flight and selected this hotel based on the reviews we saw here on Tripadvisor. The riad lived up to the hype!

The room was big and opened up to the riad's rustic courtyard. Very quiet, even though the riad is situated in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech's old town. Breakfast was served on the rooftop where one could take in nice views of the town.

Owners and staff always had a smile on their face and were more than willing to dispense with their knowledge of the city. They sent us to a few good restaurants and the spa they recommended was quite good too. They even treated us to a home-style meal of cous-cous!

We were met in Marrakech by Abdul who guided us from the taxi to the Riad. Arriving at the Riad we were shown around and given a mint tea - or 'Moroccan Whisky' After exploring on our first day, we decided to have dinner in the Riad. It by far the best food we experienced on our holiday, so we had dinner at the RIad on our last evening also. Served by Mohammed, the most attentive 'waiter' I have come across.
Everyone at Riad Sable Chaud went out of their way to help us and make us welcome, organising taxis and giving us invaluable advice.

Our room was stunning, it really was a home from home. We were lucky with the weather, and had breakfast on the terrace on 2 of our mornings. The choice and amount was amazing and delicious - kept us well energised for the day.

The lady who cleaned our room kept it spotless, and as I think another reviewer said, folded pyjamas and made the bed in a different way each night

I cannot speak highly enough of the people, or the home they provided us. We were reluctant to leave and will be planning another visit before long.

A haven from the chaos of wonderful Marrakech, a magical find.

We started our trip a little anxious about where to lodge in Marrakech. Fortunately, we met a couple in Essaouira, who talked us so enthusiastically about their lodging in the Riad Sable Chaud in Marrakech, that we trust them and as soon in Marrakech, we followed their advice. It is true that occasional information can be more worthy than turistic advisors, since this Riad was a dream. The kindness and the availability of the staff, the exceptionally good cuisine, the exotic smartness of the place, quiet and cool even during summer time, its position in the middle of the Medina, were all unexpected and comfortable discoveries.
As a matter of fact we did not expect anything better and we are pleased to share our discovery with the community of Tripadvisor.
