It's no coincidence that at the time of writing Alisa is ranked 37 out of 46 hotels in Accra. Where to start with it's shortcomings? If you are stuck for somewhere to stay or put in Alisa on business, the hotel is clean and relatively smart and it won't be a problem for 1 night. But I booked 4 people in Alisa for a meeting in Accra and all left relieved to see the back of the place. This is also evidently a $120 hotel, not $200 per night as they insisted on charging us. Half the hotel is the other side of a public road, so you cross over to go to the pool (which is overlooked by a building site) or to breakfast. What summed it up for us was we disagreed with our billing on arrival, and 4 days later the management had still refused to even speak with us. Instead, beleaguered reception staff had to send back smug messages from 'the manager'. With hindsight the rudeness of the management had a comical aspect to it; but at the time, tired from long flights and many meetings, it was unpleasant (and they forgot to send shuttle to pick us from airport). We only stayed because everywhere else was full. So please don't support this business! Try Labadi or Mahogany instead, or even the soulless Novotel has more charm. Thankfully there's competition coming to Accra hotels, such as Hilton and a Travel Inn being developed, so I imagine that run as it is, in a few years hotels like Alisa will become run down and struggle to survive. For now, with Accra not very competitive for hotels, they will continue to make and take good money. ps. Housekeeping and restaurant staff lovely; just the management and front desk that managed to offend or disappoint so consistently with just about every interaction

Concerning your room rate, I understand your frustration that this was not ammended to the UN rate as you requested. According to the records available the room rates booked have been confirmed and accepted. It seems logical that the hotels have maintained their position on the rates.
As to the allocation of the rooms I sincerely appologise. We have discussed this during our weekly quality meeting and steps have been put in place in order to avoid similar situations in the future.
We do hope that on your next visit you will give us the chance to prove to you that Alisa Hotels in North Ridge and East Cantonments in Accra are a worthy choice.
Again my thanks for the time you took to reply to me. It is much appreciated.
