I am another traveller from India. I partially disagree with the comments of some of the reviewers. We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2004 and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is not first class but then again neither are you paying first class rates. Its a reasonable hotel and the problem arises when people want to pay rock bottom prices and expect 5 star luxury.

The thing we loved the most about the place was the service. Some of the nicest staff I have ever met. My wife does not eat beef and pork. The cooks always cooked some Indian chicken or some veggie pasta dish for us whenever we requested.

The beach could be better, but what can the hotel do. It can't pack up and move can it?

All in all, its a very nice comfortable hotel and above all very very reasonable. We loved it.

Would go back to a different hotel next time but not because I have any complaints with cocotiers. I would just like to be closer to Grand Bay.

Just got to write a quick note confirming all the previous reviews as my partner and I had the same experience - and those dogs barked all night long.....................

This Hotel is situated at very bad location in terms of beach as well as locality. After 7 pm you will think twice before coming out of the hotel. Beach water smells badly and you can easily see stray dogs on beach. In fact during our stay one lilttle girl was bitten by a stray dog while playing. Moreover beach is also not clean it is very slippery and needs total facelift. I don't understand why hotel management is so ignorant about the beach.

Dinner is a total nightmare for indian food lovers so don't expect nice dinner when you came back to hotel after a hectic tour. I advice to book some 4* hotel in fact La Plantation of same group is worth spending money.

For newly weds at least this is not the place where they want to spend their precious moments.

This hotel is not advisable. We had very good time in mauritius except the hotel. I made very good friends there and at the same we all decided that we will write review regarding this hotel. Nobody was happy abt the hotel at that time. It was very difficult to get other hotel at the same time. We decided to stay there bcoz i met other good friends. I accept that this hotel is 2*. Many sites its mentioned as 3*. There are various major drawbacks this hotel.

> Food for indian is worst....At my time, we were almost 70% indian out of which 90% were VEG. Still they did not serve us good veg food. They were more interested in serving GORA for non-veg dishes.

> Beach...as per snaps on website.....this hotel is next to beach....but it is no suitable for water activity....In the evening lots fisherman motor boat carry out their fish cleaning business there. I could water full of fish blood on one occasion...

> Swimming pool....when we were there, there was no water in it. On last we saw water in swimming pool....There is no cleaning system...it took 2 days to fill water..

> Restaurant....is very bad and charges are very high....funny part charges of their 4* hotel and this hotel is same....

> Rooms.....they are very small....and very very basic facilities are also not there.....

Almost everyday , we used to gather together at the reception of make complaints....

Will suggest you to pay little more extra go to their 4* hotel, which is very good in all respect.....rather than spoiling your holiday....
