I was looking for a nice place in Maputo and some friends told me about Villa das Mangas. I found it with great charm since it really reflects the african spirit. Almost all the rooms are a few steps away from a perfect swiming pool. Rooms are equipped with cable tv and complimentary internet, which was very helpful since I had to work from my room.

Breakfast was good but can be improved. Very friendly staff and central location. Good relation price / quality.

An experience to repeat!

If you do not pay attention to the quality of breakfast (where is the fresh fruit, why the eggs and sausages are cold and why the brewed coffee is for surcharge???) and tiny rooms, the very central location and small pool with green area would be atractive for you to consider the Villa das Mangas.
Do not believe excellent homepage will be objective source of information: it is not a design hotel, but the place to spend the night.
Friendly staff and overpriced restaurant. Nice touch however is the freshly baked muffin delivered to your room in the evening!
All in all, OK place, reasonable price (but be aware, they will add 5% if you pay with your Visa or MC) and central location.
