My partner and I stayed at the Nasa Vegas Hotel several times within a two month period. The location, although not directly in the heart of Bangkok is right on the airport transit link, which makes it the perfect location for visitors that have early flights, or late arrivals. We stayed in the double room, which was quite spacious and somewhat clean. The washroom, although large, was usually moldy, but it was nice to step into a bathtub and enjoy hot water 24/7. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the a/c worked like a dream. The hotel offers room service, however it is worth noting that the people who work in the kitchen do not speak a lick of English and it was often a hassle trying to order food. Unfortunately there are not so many restaurants in the area so you are pretty much stuck ordering food unless you prefer to walk to the 24 hour mini market. However, by far the biggest con I experienced while staying at the NVH involved the payment of my stay at the hotel. On our last stay, the woman who was checking us in decided that instead of asking me to insert my credit card pin on the machine, that she would insert random numbers into the machine, hoping to override the pin and allow the transaction to go through. Now for those of you with a chip on your credit card you know that when a pin is inserted incorrectly three times that the pin is no longer valid. This caused a major problem for me as I could only change my pin back home, and I wasn't planning on returning home for another six months, meaning that in certain stores my credit card would be useless as most stores require a pin for the transaction to go through. The Nasa Vegas Hotel was completely unhelpful and did not offer any sort of compensation for this. Because of this experience I will NEVER go back to NVH and please beware when they use your credit card. Make sure you tell them that you need to insert the pin yourself. For a busy hotel that gets a great deal of business I was very surprised that they would make this mistake, also considering I had stayed three other times before with no problem. Maybe the girl was new, but that is a very silly mistake to make. Luckily I had an emergency pre-paid card, but now that money is gone and I am still traveling...so now I am stuck.
Try to get a room away from where the train goes by, it can get quite loud.
