Clean room, comfortable bed, hot showers, good location, included breakfast, working A/C and a little balcony looking out into the lane. Everything you need for a comfortable stay in Bangkok. It's not the most luxurious hotel. The standard double room was a bit small, the TV is tiny with just a few channels (one English channel), and in our room there wasn't a way to plug up the sink to hand wash a few items (but it is convenient drying them on the rack provided on the balcony). The staff were pleasant if you needed help with okay English. The breakfast was the usual buffet style, consisting of toast, eggs done different ways each day, vegetables for salad, some sliced fruit, coffee, tea, filtered water, some sort of meat, and a stir-fried noodle or rice dish. Enough food and variety to fill up and be happy. You wash your plates yourself after you finish in the open kitchen. Two bottles of water are provided each day, and if you don't have your room cleaned, they should hang the water and maybe a roll of toilet paper in a bag on your doorknob. The hotel is tucked into a small lane, and the only noise at night is the occassional loud conversation of the few pedestrians who walk by. All in all, a clean, comfortable, hotel that has everything you need and little more.
As an extra tip, I recommend going to the Bangkok Information building that's about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. You'll pass an old fort and park on the walk. They have a better map of the city than the ones at the hotel and really went above and beyond helping us plan out things to do and places to eat. Really nice people.
