The hotel rooms were great and the day crew was very friendly in accommodating your needs. I also liked the swimming pool because it had a covered roof top and was not crowded. Their was heavy construction on both sides of the building and unless you get a room at a higher elevation it gets noisy during business hours. All online bookings are non refundable and their is no flexibility on changing your reservations. I found the cost a bit pricey in comparison to other comparable hotels in Bangkok.

“Best apartments in town.”

Just completed 35 days in an apartment on the 18 floor. It was a repeat booking as stayed for a month in December 2007. I have checked the surrounding apartment blocks and the Marriott is the best. The swimming pool is on the 25 floor, full building length open to the air on three side with bar and snacks at one end. The rooms are maintained to the highest standard, the staff are very friendly, there is a small supermarket next to the building. Sky train access is easy . A new building is being constructed next door at the time of this report its about level with the 8 floor. The best area in Bangkok. I am happy to recommend.

“Amazing Stay”

What an amazing stay! Work out facilities top of the line, small playroom attached for children. Pool is a bit on the cold side, but a great place to relax. Room service reasonable, but concierge gave us a GREAT recommendation for dinner - The Good View - and taxi rates are cheap! Front desk was great at arranging transport. Rooms were very spacious, and the breakfast buffet was amazing!! Very clean. Close to MBK, and many other malls.

“Big rooms at the Marriot”

We stayed at the Marriot for our honeymoon from 12/11/07 to 12/14/07. The Marriot was the first hotel we stayed at during our 2 week trip in Thailand. When we arrived they checked us into a 1 bedroom suite which was on the 5th floor that faced construction next store. We asked for an upgrade, since it was our honeymoon, and wanted a better view. They gave us a 2 bedroom suite that was on the 20th floor which had a good city views of Bangkok. This upgrade only cost us $15 US additional per day.

Our upgraded room was fabulous. There was a big kitchen area that had all the pots and plates for you to cook if wanted. There was a small washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths. The living room was big and also had a little dinning area.

The hotel room came with free buffet breakfast each morning, and massages for 2 people. We booked 2 Thai Massages. The service was great and really did the trick in relieving stress and fatigue from our long flight. The spa at the hotel is small though.

The area where the Marriot is located is considered the business district of Bangkok. We did encountered problems getting a taxi at times, as some taxi drivers did not know the street the hotel was on.

The concierge was very helpful in helping us with setting up our flights to Koi Samui (island off of Thailand’s west coast), and advising us of nearby attractions and transportation options.

The pool is located on the roof which also has free wireless internet access.

There is a 7/11 nearby which was convenient to buy snacks and water. There is also a nearby BTS station (Bangkok’s subway system) which is about a 10 minute walk. The station is called Chit Lom. A supermarket is right next to the hotel, called “Villa” which is below the Millennia Tower.

Overall the rooms were big, the price was affordable, and friendly service. We would consider staying there again.

“fantastic suite wish we were really there for a week”

We stayed here on our last two nights in asia and wished we were staying a whole week in this apartment overlooking bangkok. and even if they put us right beside the construction, it is still low so we could have a wonderful view and the noise did not bother us at all. we found the swimming pool on the 25 th floor very nice and relaxing after a hot day in sweaty bangkok. the bed is wonderfully soft and we needed a good rest after such busy travelling
