“... for men may come and men may go, but I go on forever...”
They say, the best things in life are free... True for The River indeed ! The city began around the river. Today, some of the historic sights (Wat Arun and parts of the city fortress from centuries past) and some of the most famous hotels in the city (Millenium Hilton, The Mandarin Oriental, et al) line the river along its course..
You may want to take a boat ride along the river , which is a good idea. You have two options here:
1) Private owned boats costing as much as 200THB/ Foreign national for a trip from the new city side of the river to Wat Arun and back, or
2) Public Taxi boat service, that cost between 5THB to 15T
