The staff is extraordenary friendly. When you check in and out you get a welcom / farwell drink and everybody gives you a nice smile and helps you out when you have a need.
The rooms are nicly funished and very clean.
Breakfast buffett is great and has a big variety every day. We stayed 9 nights and had everyday a different breakfast.
The service is a five star service and the great thing is you do not pay as much for it.
The red light district is not as close as it seems. It is in the adjecent road but you do not have to go there to reach anything and you do not really see it on your way to anywhere.The can not be a better place to stay at in Bangkok.

The hotel is right in the centre of Bangkok, near Ploenchit BTS. This is a very safe area, even though many people complain about the naughty nightlife! It is not on the hotels doorstep, it is a street across, & it is still safe. This is Bangkok, accept that it is different from our world. The Thai people are among the friendliest people on the planet.
The hotel lobby is light and airy, & you will always be greeted with a 'wai'. I always book a deluxe room in the hotel. The rooms are large with wood & marble flooring. Large bathroom with shower. The pool is on the 7th floor, which is small, but adequate for a cool down after a stroll round town. The breakfast has a large continental choice. The concierge are always willing to help. As everyone else says, don't use the taxi's across the road, but ask concierge to order one for you.
My top tip is to go for a pot of tea at the cafe in front of the Landmark Hotel and watch the crazy world go by.

Majestic is a very apt word for this hotel.

It really is faultless from the room to the service to the facilites.

Make sure you try the in house Thai food and cocktails from the bar.

We booked through www.hotelasia.com and it worked out at 40GBP per night!!! This included a fantastic buffet breakfast!

Stay there and enjoy it!

I can only echo many of the other very good reviews of this hotel. The fact that a room costs easily under £100 per night was just another bonus. Great location, but if you're particularly prudish probably not ideal due to its proximity to Nana, etc. However, cheap taxis are readily available if you want a change from the immediate area or to go shopping or on trips, etc.
Staff very helpful, cleanliness excellent, good rooms and excellent service. Nice bar for meeting up (happy hour 6-8 I think) and a good restaurant which does a buffet/bbq where you can select your own steaks and seafood to be bbq-ed.
Lots of good restaurants in the area & plenty of bars (though many are 'girlie bars').
Pretty well equipped fitness room & nice pool to relax in at the end of a hot day. Will definitely stay again when in BKK.
