We booked this hotel for our first few nights in Bangkok before heading north.
The hotel is not exactly easy to find, so make sure you tell the taxi driver it's on Soi 1 off Sukhumvit Road. (it's opposite the Bumrungrad hospital)
The road itself looks more like a backstreet and off the main road, but once you get inside, the hotel and room we had was great. A bargain at £30 for the room. The room was large with a small kitchen area., very quiet, spotlessly clean, great complimentary water replenshied daily. Comfy bed, big tv, sofa, sitting area.
The whole place is kitted out to a high standard and is quite modern, there's free wireless internet throughout and two complimentray pc's in reception if you dont have a laptop.
The pool is small but adequate and not busy, we often had it to ourselves.
The staff were great, very helpful. this place is like a boutique hotel without the price tag.
The rate included breakfast which was fine, room service is also reasonable.
Some people say the location isnt great, i'd disagree, its a short walk to the end of the road, take a right and you're practically at Pleon Chit Skytrain station - the best way to get around the city in air con comfort! This walk is about 5 minutes.
